Out of the top 20-ranked players in state of Florida, #Gators had 3 commits. Cook gone, next 2 (Lane - 6, Jackson - 20) seriously wavering).

    gatorcountry.com ‏@onlygators1m
Out of the same top 20 recruits in state of Florida, Florida State has 6 and Miami has 4 (for now). Big issue for #Gators.

Not landing a single top 20 recruit in our own state is a real possibility. I defended Muschamp a lot over the course of the year, but that almost seems impossible to me. For those of you who were saying that a 4-8 season doesn't have an impact on recruiting, there ya go.

Yeah, looks bad now but there are lots of recruits still in play. Despite what just happened, Muschamp is still a good recruiter imo.

    2015 WR Da'Vante Phillips. RT "@Duckedoff_Vante: he was trolling y'all "

And it looks like Phillips is off the table, too. Funny how quickly things can snowball.

So are we to think that several of these kids are "tolling" the Gators' coaching staff? It's almost like they wanted us to keep our coach/es for some odd reason.

That's the feeling I got. Kind of a unique situation, where it looks like at least three or four of our recruits were playing the coaches and fan bases. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be more than that.

The funny thing is that so many pro-Champ guys were citing the need to keep the class together. Now we are stuck with Champ and crumbling class.

Grier needs to be the real deal.

It points to a growing lack of respect for our coaches and program.

Why the hate for Phillips? He points out that cook was trolling and decommitted with a wait and see attitude. Can't blame him for that.

Duke is doing pretty well with all of those 2 and 3 star players.

A&M's defense is a joke...don't get too carried away. How did they do against the only legit D they faced in FSU?

My guess is after this year's nosedive, wm has lost any glitter he might have had. Listen, uf the program was why top recruits wanted to come, you'd have to be a nit wit not to recruit well at uf. However, when you become the first coach in a long long while to have a losing season here, and for the offense not to look just bad but butt ugly awful, ya these kids today will punk ya.
It looks as if we will follow a loser of a year with a not so hot recruiting class. The hits keep coming...

Sounds like from that quote that Phillips was enjoying it to me.

If this is where recruiting is heading, then this recruitnik is gonna find a new hobby. I realize kids change their minds and this is a big decision. But INTENTIONAL deceit, for fun, is deplorable.

Make no mistake about nearly every kid there is laughing at how Cook punked us. Muschamp just fell victim to the "knockout game". As pathetic as what Cook did is it shows the true state of our program.

I liken this to your fiancee telling you two weeks before the wedding, "I still love you, but I'm 80% there. I'm still considering the neighbor's kid and the guy down the street. I'll let you know when its time for the processional."
