I'd say it's time to bust out the hookers and the 8 balls for these HS kids. Let's get some recruiting going! We've got nothing to lose and everything to gain!
Its time for every school to start buying recruits and say screw the NCAA.
No reason to abide by the rules if they aren't going to get enforced.
I prefer to think that it is time to retire the NCAA, IF the university presidents really care.
My guess is that nothing will change.
Miami may have gotten off easy, but there's a lot of people on this board and others misrepresenting their exact punishment. The punishment that was handed down today isn't all they got. They missed two bowls and waited for THREE YEARS to hear what their punishment would be. Think this was ever used against them in recruiting? Again, they STILL got off easy. But lets at least call it what it is.
They did self impose sanctions and the NCAA screwed up the investigation.
College sports as we know it is dead.
The NCAA should be disbanded.
Dislike for Mia aside. This is a travisty and a deathnail for college sports as we know it.
Unless 95% of the stuff is false, no amount of spin, excuses, or filler can justify this. I stated last night the NCAA is spineless, gutless, and wouldn't lower the boom. Lol, So. Cal fan must be livid. They got hammered over 1 guy and the U skates on this.
Time for UF to join the party. Lexus for all 5* players, weekly stipends and ho's all over.
College football died when they started the new ejection rule. It was already done
how is it a no bowl ban? they've already banned themselves from 2 bowls
Yes. Not allowing a defender to launch himself like a missel, slam the crown of his helmet into another guys earhole and giving him longterm brain damage killed football.
Tackle properly and no penalty comes. Yes the rule needs tweaking, but killed football........
The rule is fine, the implementation is absolutely terrible.
People are getting ejected for barely touching helmets, see Riggs hit.
Not to mention, real helmet to helmet hits are going un flagged, see a few hits on Murphy against Mizzu, hell he even got PUNCHED in the head a few times and no flag was thrown.
NCAA's fault. They screwed up, totally mishandled the situation, and looked like as* clowns/idiots doing so. Time to move on, the majority of the kids they got on their squad now had nothing to do with it. NCAA is a joke, I believe every major school should do what Miami did. What is the NCAA going to do? Suspend all of college football? Get real.
This is a joke.
But Northwest South Dakota State is going to pay dearly for Miami's infractions.
How righteous of them to self-ban themselves from the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl the last two years.
The problem is not the rule itself. It is the interpretation that every big hit in college football results in a penalty and an ejection that can be overturned if the replay shows that the big hit was not actually illegal- but hey it is still 15 yards because the ref threw the flag.
There are no more legal big hits seen in football games anymore. That has ruined the game and only ruins defensive philosophies that have made the game what it has been since inception. Defense is about guarding territory, intimidation, intensity, big hitting, domination and celebrating.
Defense is going away forever. Wilbur Marshall would be banned every game for legal hits misinterpreted as targeting.
Everyone will become the WAC. College football is ruined.
Now the NCAA ruins it further by being a wuss. It is open season on recruiting. Dirty programs who are skilled at cover ups and who have aggressive legal counsel can do whatever the heck they want to do.
Only schools like UF bow to the rules and accept whatever punishment is handed to them by saying, yep we deserve it. We are pushovers. That is also why we do not get a return trip by Auburn, Texas A&M and next year Bama gets a home game vs. us and we won't get a return trip. We are the Mikey of the SEC. We will do anything and take anything and let ourselves be run over by everybody, including the NCAA.
need to start recruiting with boats and hos
This slap on the wrist will only encourage UM to cheat again. They've been nailed for infractions every decade since the 1980s. They should have had 30 scholarships taken away and faced a two-year TV ban. How can UF compete for recruits when the Canes can provide them with hookers and yacht excursions?
