So who's the conservative? I keep looking but don't see one.
What, no pics of Head Boss Man smoking in the bathroom ?
Here is one;
Is the balloon full of hot air too?
Why do I suspect that if Attila the Hun was in the picture you still wouldn't see a conservative?
Or twisting a blunt...
A revolutionary if there ever was one.
you do realize this republican vs. democrat battle is just a false duality, right?
CBS news actually turned on 0 tonight over these pictures and the lack of access that they represented. they were taken by official photographer because press was not given access. just another example of 0 controlling access to control the message. Most transparent promise has resulted in most secretive and reclusive administration in decades.
I'm not sure, but I know a conservative when I see one.
How hard is it on the left to realize that W doesn't really rate as a conservative given all his expansions of the federal government -- even if there had been no war at all, massive expansion.
Just like the dressing room at a wrestling arena.
There has to be a reason. Here's betting one is he doesn't want to be photographed smoking. Seems to chew gum a lot.
Well, I think that's the point. Which of our recent presidents hasn't expanded the federal government. Hell, the paramount of conservative iconography, Reagan, presided over what was at the time a record increase in the rate of federal spending and a record increase in federal employees. Why does he rate as "conservative" and Bush as "not conservative?"
The answer, of course, is bound almost directly to popularity and palatability. Were Bush more popular, he'd be embraced by conservatives. Because he is (or was) incredibly unpopular, distancing the man from the ideological core is critical. You see this all the time when a Republican does something that causes a dissonance in the party line and is immediately branded a RINO.
I know when I fly on Air Force One to funerals of foreign dignitaries, I always challenge the POTUS to a debate on how jacked up his policies are.
Good grief, what do you expect a retired POTUS to do. 0bama offered him a lift to a funeral. Bush is probably explaining to 0bama how the search for a new head coach at Texas is going or something.
So if it were Reagan rather than Bush, what would you say?
I think you know the answer, but the problem was Reagan got to see the 44th president of the United States.
