Yeah, it's like FSU's couple of 7'0"+ big guys. Just being tall doesn't mean everything (not that those guys are not D1 players, but 2 or 3 years in college ball and they still aren't doing all that much) What that video is showing is a 7'5 guy high schooler, going against 6'4 and 6'5" high schoolers. Too easy, and it doesn't necessarily project anything for the next level.

Would be interesting to see him go against the more elite players in the class. Most likely he would be destroyed, despite his height. That being said, his height gives him something to work with that very few people in the world have. Hell, he is probably guaranteed a basketball scholarship somewhere, just because of his height. Will be interesting to see if a major program goes after him or if he becomes that type of national recruit. There have been a few 7'5" guys like this that really only ended up recruited by small programs.

As they say, you can't teach height. Kid seems athletic enough but yes, like most big men, he'll be a project. Just aren't too many 7 footers he can play against and improve his game in high school. But certainly worth looking at, because an athletic 7' 5" guy is a nice rim protector to have.

    Manute Bol redux?

Manute was Karl Malone's kryptonite. I have an indelible memory of him hitting back to back threes in a game in which the Warriors scored 150 points. Don Nelson gave everyone the green light and fined you for playing defense.
