Hope this guys body holds up. Very raw player from Senegal but a fun video to watch anyway.
He looks like the tallest nerd in the world, haha. Hibbert has proven you can be valuable just by being tall and getting in the way on defense.
Can we place an order for this Taco?
Looks like a high schooler vs pre school kids.
He looks like he has very long arms for his height. Probably has an 8 foot wingspan. He's not very muscular but isn't skinny either. Once he develops better strength/coordination, his family might want to consider sending him to a school with a coaching staff that can develop his skills. If basketball doesn't pan out for him, it would be interesting to see what occupation he ends up taking. Whatever it is, it has to be better than living in Senegal.

from the video, I don't think he looks all that raw!!!
I'm sure Erving Walker would approve.
Bullis, any inside info as to whether this kid is still growing?
Man, did you see the size of that Kid's hands?
He certainly doesn't have to jump very high to dunk, so, obviously he has long arms, and yes, slender, but now real skinny. Obviously Watusi Heritage (their men average 6'6")
I wonder if he and his family (frequently very, very close among native Africans), will decide he should continue playing basketball in college. If so, although he doesn't look very fast, he might develop into a very decent player. I'm sure right now that the Cultural Changes are the most difficult thing to deal with.
Rebound, dunk, repeat
I remember seeing this a while back. If I recall, he barely scored any points and really didn't get that many rebounds which seems like a red flag for someone that tall.
Let me anticipate the conversation we're about to have:
"Are we recruiting him? Shouldn't we be? He's raw, sure, but imagine how dominant he can be with Billy's coaching."
"No, we're not recruiting him and we never will. He doesn't have the athleticism or skill set to play for us. We ask our bigs to do a lot of difficult things, and this kid can't do any of them."
This sounds accurate.
Then, the thread will likely devolve into a discussion of the plants, fruits, and fauna in various poster's backyards.
Don't forget a discussion of Kenny Boynton
Guessing his game is limited to 2-3 ft from the bucket. Just don't allow him to post up close to the basket.
I thought his form on the one free throw from the video looked better than many SEC big men.
I agree, he did have good form on the FT. I kept hoping to see him hit a 10-12 ft shot but they just kept showing dunks. I guess if that is all he does then that is all the tape their is.
Are we in on him?
Haha. I was thinking the same. Looks like a giant Steve Urkel.
He definitely has potential, if not just as a shot blocker and rebounder. He doesn't look terrible, but just being 7'5" and "not terrible" doesn't necessarily make him a high end D1 player either.
