A true frosh that is 6'1 nearly 300lbs isn't going to make it through 4 quarters in the Swamp in August. I'd be surprised if he lasts until the half.

I mean... that's basically my frame with 100 extra pounds and only a few weeks of Div-I training? I wish the guy luck... but man... that is brutal.

If he's the starter, who's behind him?

Good point, but in 2011, Toledo played a FAR tougher schedule than they did in 2012. In 2012, they played Bowling Green, as we did.

    Category----------------Florida----------Toledo

    Final Score....................27-14..............27-15

    Yards Gained.................365..................452
    Yards Allowed................327..................351

Not saying the game is a toss-up by any means, but I don't think Toledo is all that bad. We can't come out of the gate sluggish.

Moore was a very good HS wrestler. So his conditioning is different than most athletes going into the Summer workouts. The player behind him is Soph Allen Covington 6'2" 260 lbs. He played on the 6-A state championship team and was All-State from Tampa Armwood.

There's a reason I said "defensively" in my post.

    NCAA ranked Toledo's SOS(sorted by cumulative opposition) #58 in '12 and #50 in '11.

A point was made that Toledo's SOS was tougher(defensively) in 2011 vs 2012.
Infact the regular SOS was close, so one might assume the defense numbers would be close. Defensive SOS based upon Scoring Defense Ranking had a mean of 61.9(2012) and 60.8(2011). So the Defense SOS for those two seasons were very equivalent.
I can read and the Lord is good.

    What are you talking about?

The NCAA had your 2012 defensive opponent av. rank at #70 and your 2011 defensive opponent avg. rank at #60.

Why are you guys arguing about strength of schedule from 2011? Or comparing it to 2012 like that has this huge say in what happens from a week from now. If florida struggles vs toledo, which i expect them to do, its not because of their strength of schedule

As a measure of their supposed improvement despite the same record and an atrocious defensive record.

Toledo's vaunted offensive juggernaut will be watching a lot of the game from the sidelines as the Gators methodically march it down the field, showing little fancy stuff and eating lots of clock.

i assumed so. way i look at it is we should all know what to expect. they are going to look to run a up tempo offense (i cant remember if they run a no huddle) like most MAC teams do, you know they are going to dink and dunk florida to death, and we know that if the game is close going into the 4th its likely because our offense still looks like crap. lets be honest. i dont think strength of schedule had anything to do with why florida allowed 2 of their weaker OOC teams last year stay in games....

Based on what"? I gave mean Scoring Defense Ranking of Toledo's FBS opponents
    for 2011 and 2012.

Right now the task at hand is figuring out what hat am I going to wear to the game.
