Wow...they most love them some football in Toledo. There are every bit of 14 posters over there. Thats impressive.

After reading the plethora of posts there, I am now concerned...as in, I hope our boys are not blinded by the empty seats in the SE corner.

I think that was a Bama fan that thought they had beaten Arizona.

I was at the UT vs Arizona game... we won the game except for the fact we couldn't score in the red zone... Mr Campbell will hopefully have learned from that...

I think it's great they have school spirit.

I didn't see any disrespectful posts there.

Some are saying they lose and some say they will prevail...nothing wrong with that either.

I understand it's easy to "look down" on other programs less endowed than us - but why do that when we can take the high road and show them we appreciate their enthusiasm, wish them well, and look forward to a good game with no injuries.

Trash talk has never been something I've admired. Seems to always be something we see from those who are desperate.

    We are not desperate.

King Bob, the person that started the thread is a wack that lives in the Atlanta area. He's the most likely person to get popped for open container and barking at police dogs. Only drinks on days that in "y".
RE:SE Corner, I can tell you the response from Toledo alums was good enough that they had to double the space the UT Alum Association originally booked in the UF Student Union for pregame festivities.

Baza, Usually I agree, the trash talk is based on some of what our visitors came here slinging. None of us are over there talking crap. Thats the difference.

One certain rocket fan called us "slow" ....on our own board.

The kind of person most likely to be "barking at police dogs"?

See Bazza, the guests are throwing fast balls at our mellons. Charging the mound is in order.

Interesting about the 600 yards gained against a decent mid-major. I wonder how we did the last three years against mid-majors that finished with a winning record?

    Year----Opponent---------W/L Record----Yards Gained----Yards Allowed-----Score

    2012........BGSU......................8-5......................365..................327..................27-14
    2012........La-Lafayette...........9-4......................311..................267.................27-20
    2010........Miami (OH).............10-4.....................212..................212.................34-12

    Average.................................9-4.....................296..................269.................29-15

Against decent mid-majors, we won, but we didn't look like a polished team. Toledo returns 14 starters from a team that finished 9-4 last year, losing three of their four games by a TD or less to Arizona (8-5 in OT), Northern Illinois (12-2 @ N. Ill), and Ball State (9-4).

Not saying we will lose, as we haven't lost to a mid-major in a quarter century. Just saying I would hesitate before I bet the mortgage that we will roll all over Toledo. They should have a decent team this year, for a mid-major, and until we see otherwise, we cannot assume our offense will be vastly improved from the last three years...

Your missing the point. Toledo gave up 600 yards against a much lesser opponent than Florida...and claimed it was a moral victory. This has nothing to do with Florida at all.
