    He is committed to TAMU. I won't doubt Muschamp's ability to flip a commit based on his track record. We also have recent success with sending DTs to the NFL, which is important to a lot of these players.

    Thanks for that info Brian. Hope we can flip him and wonder if distance is a factor? Have to assume not, if we made his visit list, but then again, kids do love to just take visits.

    It's not UT/Strong, it's Texas AM. Also, this is just him throwing stuff out there. He hasn't set any official visits yet. We'll see if it actually works out in the fall or if he is just blowing smoke.

    I think the link said he has sched OVs to UT and UF. But I agree, getting him here is important.

    And yea, I didn't know he was committed to aTm. I don't post on 3 star or even 4 star guys, but if I see something new on a 5 star guy, I share, if it hasn't been.

    I stopped looking up all the recruits years ago, because commitments really mean nothing at this point.

    TAMU's been on a tear recruiting the last few years. I think its going to take Strong one year in the program before he can take the state back. I'm not optimistic about stealing a Texas kid who is already committed to the Aggies.

    I told all my TX folk that aTm would pass up UT when the conf. changes took place. Them coming to the SEC alone boosted them. If he’s already commited to aTm, then yes, I find it hard to believe that we can steal one from them. I would rather go up against aTm, then UT for a 5 start guy.

    I don't know how long the Brad Lawing magic is going to work. Unless Mack turns into a miracle flip, we are in trouble at DT for this class. I haven't seen a single DT in the top 247/250 prospects who has more than remote interest in UF. We'd better set our sites on large SSDE types or hope that we get both Cowart and Jefferson and one of them adds 30 pounds right away. We are paying a price for last year's season nowhere is it more evident than at DT.

    It appears to be a poor year for DTs in-state, which is probably okay coming out of a four win season pretty much guarantees we have to go out of state for a large part of our class. I just don't see anybody looking our way right now. Even the guys we'd like to flip weren't looking at us when they committed.

    We have Ivie #2 committed and are in a very good position for Norton. Horton also might be a DT. We lose two after this season, but will still have Ivie #1, Bostwick, Brantley, Holley and big DEs in Bullard and Willis that may slide inside. Seems lime as long as we lock up Norton we can be very selective of taking a 3rd or not.

    50/50 that Bullard comes back. Agree about the young guys being a fixture next year, but I think Ivie will take a while to develop, assuming he's anywhere near as good as his brother. He's ranked around #50 something at his position. I can't find Norton anywhere. Is he listed as an OL? There is no being selective. There is not a highly rated DT in the country showing any interest in UF. They probably look at the existing players, then our record from last year and move on.

    I guess this is our year to nail down the #1 DE class and wait a year to get after some big uglies to fill up the middle.
