Here's what I would suggest. If you want to talk about unions in Madison, you ought to start a thread on it. Don't hijack this one with a completely different subject.

You forgot the unions in Las Vegas and occupy wall street. Surely your brain can comprehend the comparisons if you let it.

I haven't read any stories about what happened, but I am willing to bet the OCT folks were a lot more friendly than the MDA folks would like to suggest. Guys that strap on an AR or AK and drive to a restaurant are gun geeks, not bullies. Now, I don't know Texas law, but here in AZ you can't carry into an establishment that serves alcohol so, once again, the OCT guys were obeying the law.

I can gauran-damn-tee you they didn't wait for MDA ladies to come out so they could point their guns at them. I'd be willing to bet that they invited them to discuss the issues with them, but since they had guns the offer was declined. We can each judge that decision for ourselves, but what is almost certainly true is that these guys were not being bullies. No more so than if a group of ladies met to discuss outlawing football and a bunch of big football players congregated nearby to counter-protest.

I disagree with a lot of stuff. I don't run around frantically screaming and calling people bullies either.

But since it was a bunch of scared women, I think its safe to say wetting their panties.

The argument is a bunch of guys AND GIRLS showed up armed to the teeth and not a damn thing happened!!!! The frantic women's point was moot. Who woulda thunk?? People can own firearms and not go around shooting everyone who moves!!!!

I have to wonder if they showed up outside the poling booths if they would be given the same leniency shown the black panthers that showed up in Philly ($) or if Holder would try and proscute

Like I said, one guy with a nightstick is a huge deal, a bunch of people with guns ... nothing.
    At least to conservatives.
(By the way, it was the Bush administration that decided there would be no criminal charges in Philly.)

you forgot the minor detail about being outside the polling station and the laws re: positioning one self around a polling station.

    BIG difference.

Put em at the entrance to the polling station and see how many swat teams in riot gear show up and arrest them before the feds charge them

Yeah because if you're advocating for open carry you should leave your guns at home... Good idea.

They are course euphemisms for a valid point -- it is immature and undignified to be so existentially unnerved by the mere presence of any particular weapon.

    Weapons exist.

If some girls who don't like them see them, should they freak out ?

Some girls I know - real girls - actually like them, and are darn good at using them.

We all know what their point was

    To intimidate these women

    Pathetic

Could have easily escalated if other patrons in the restaurant were carrying and felt threatened

An open carry advocate in the restaurant would feel threatened by a group of open carriers?? Oh please, take your fear mongering elsewhere.

I'll bet you some were carrying. That's what gun haters fail to understand. They pass by dozens of people everyday that are carrying a gun and yet no gunfights break out. Reasonable people aren't terrified of guns. Those that carry concealed are sure as hell not threatened by a group of openly armed citizens. I'm sure they applauded their counter-protest. Those women were the safest citizens in the US that morning.

Yes, because all people who carry are logical, calm, and make the right decisions at all times..

Including the necks who decided to show up outside of a restaurant with their guns out

So many people out there with their guns and none of them went off by themselves? Pretty shocking, wouldn't you say?

that's why they stood around in the parking lot, didn't go in that restaurant and the manager called 911.
