do y have tape of him?
he played safety last year but will play WR this year
The one thing we are missing in our WR crew is a tall speedster. We have Chris Thompson, but he will take a beating early on because of his size.
No matter what, if we don't get Campbell, with his 4.36 speed and great hands, it will matter.
He doesn't have great hands. He can get better and I expect him too but he fights the ball way to much right now. He's a freak athlete but not a complete receiver and nowhere near as polished or smooth as Phillips' is right now. We'll be more than okay without him.
Campbell doesn't have great hands but he is a freak.
This is a rather stunning turn of events.
Fullwood is 6'4". How's his speed?
Pretty sure he's in the 4.5 range. Pretty good for his height but certainly not freakish like Campbell.
Almost everybody says Campbell does not have great hands. I am not trying to down play his talent because he is very talented but UF will be fine with D rob and Ermon Lane outside. Lane ran a 4.5 at the same event and he has better ball skills. Now the difference between a 4.35 and a 4.5 is big BUT so are Ermons ball skills compared to Campbell's at this time. Lets also see who else we get in the recruiting class.
I am still not sure he runs a 4.5 he doesn't play like a 4.5 guy. IMO people better temper their expectations on how Fulwood is going to play his first few years at UF.
I dont think Campbell's family has ever been to Michigan. I wonder if they even knew he was going to commit.
This generally sucks from what I can tell
John Burt is a stud as well.
Anybody who has been following this kid cannot be surprised by this.
I do not believe this commit will stick. If his parents have not visited yet, it sounds like he jumped the gun a bit. Also, when he is sitting at home and watching these other players getting the red carpet treatment, along with the fact that him leaving home starts to sink in, he may have a change of heart. At least enough to want to just look at some schools to see what they have.
For one thing, he visited Ann Arbor in JULY. Let's see how he feels after spending a January weekend up there.
It's not even 2014 yet and people are flipping out about a 2015 recruit....
If George Campbell is half the player this board has made him out be, it's a huge loss.
Kids that big with that kind of speed and playmaking ability don't grow on trees. Getting better with his hands can be taught..the rest is a rarity.
He might have gotten caught up in the moment of their "BBQ weekend". He says he's shutting it down, well IMO that's just until things start to sink in and wear on him while he is away from Ann Arbor in sunny south Florida.
Smart recruiting. That way they can make sure that no one sees/feels their State, their campus, their weather, in November, December, January, February or March.
