That's a good possibility because that's the right time period. :) I remember when willie green was mr. Florida Football, a rb out of Osceola high school and committed to florida. Whatever happened to him? I know he had some knee surgeries before he even made it out of HS. I always figured that did him in.

I played DB/wr though I was prob. Too short for WR @ 5'9/5'10. Playing safety was a blast though.

I definitely remember him. I found this article that says he still lived and worked in Gainesville back in 06.

That's cool. "Smokin" willie green is what they called him. He basically ran over everybody, and I remember when he broke emmitt's record. There was a linebacker on his team that was really good, can't remember his name but they committed live together but he chose FSU while green chose us.

Osceola HS pretty much competed for state title every year while st. Cloud ' s last title came in 1995 while still playing g at the silver spurs rodeo arena. Oh the good ol days. At least we still had Brent fullwood to hang our hats on. He just had thee unfortunate duty of replacing bo jackson at auburn, but he still rushed for a 1000 yards that season.

Farrier was offered by USC yesterday. I know he didn't have an impressive offer list or rating to start with, but I've got a feeling he'll get plenty more big-time offers and be a 4 star when it's all said and done. Same goes for Payton (offered by OSU last week). Kudos to the staff for locking these kids up early.

This kid looks good! I love how physical he is and that he doesn't shy away from a hit. At 1:55, I like how he actually GOES to the ball to make the play, rather than trying to just stretch out for it. Good for those inaccurate passes you tend to see when throws are made on the run by the QB.

Also, the catch at the about the 4:00 mark. He does a very good job of making catches on badly thrown balls. Great hands!

Shhhhh! Someone may hear you speak that blasphemy. I think the status quo around these parts is still "our coaches don't know nuttin" :)

His stock is about to blow up!!!! Think Rudolph, started out as a 3* and ended up the #1 5* wr through great performances at the opening and regional camps. Only difference is we already have this kid committed. :)

@AlligatorArmy: And now Deondre Farrier has decommitted from Florida, in the wake of Derrick Dillon's commitment. http://t.co/XDy1W7lxfE

Yep looks like it, that was the fastest decommit I've seen right after someone committed.

Yeah I read the article after posting but I'm ok with it. Doesn't show great confidence in one's talent if you're afraid of competition.

Don't hammer him yet,Orlando paper is reporting a he hasn't decommited. Text from his mom says he's still a gator. But we've seen before ie Howard, momma isn't always right.

Yeah it looks like the initial decommitment reports may have been wrong.

That makes four WRs. I'll be surprised if this same four signs with us.

There are too many excellent WR prospects for the gurus to keep up with. Ditto DBs, which is why the WRs are so good. Watch what happens with the three star WRs we picked up this past year. Joker knows what he's doing. He might be the most astute evaluator of offensive talent we have right now.

Still gotta leave room for Campbell. I think we cap it at WR for now, or look at Dillon as an athlete, possibly RB, DB and/or wildcat QB.
