Why not? I hope not but just wondering your thoughts on why.
Because it's 18 months away, UF was leading until this weekend and he will be taking lots of visits to UF, regardless of what the Michigan coaches say. Even if he doesn't take those visits, he'll have Grier in his ear the whole time.
any 2015 kid that picks a school that is away from home right now has a good shot at being flipped that includes Campbell and Phillips
There's a reason davonte Phillips interest in Miami diminished...
Lets just say his folks don't think he should live in that environment
That doesn't mean he has to go to UF
Agreed, but that's the reason he couldn't commit to Miami earlier this summer

Does this really make sense to you seeing that Phillips currently lives in 'that environment' while Miami is situated in affluent Coral Gables?
I'm not going to explain the whole story. If you don't want to believe it then don't.
Its not a matter of me believing you or not....your statement just doesn't make sense.
He was doing gang related things, his parents don't want him around that. Is that better?
That's not very good, hope he has quit with that
He has football is the reason he stopped. But they want him out of that area. This is from someone close to the family. I will leave it at that
This is a strong kid. It seems like there is a flag called on his defenders on alomost %50 of his completions and he still catches it. He does not go down easy either. Will be a huge playmaker for the Gators. Him and Cook alone will get us a bunch of yards.
That's what stuck out the most to me, also that his QB is always having to scramble out of trouble and improvise his throws. Seems to be a lot of plays Da'Vonte adjusts his route, often turning and coming back to the ball. Was impressed with how many tough catches he made along the sideline with defenders all over him. Seems like that's where most of the flags were. One other thing I noticed is that he never bobbles the ball a bit. He just stabs it and pulls it in.
I have some recollection from Cook's clips that there was at least one WR throwing some great downfield blocks.
A little disappointed with the way things are right now with Campbell, but I think we got the guy we needed most. I'm not even sure where he belongs on the field two years from now. There were gurus a year ago predicting he would end up at OLB or DE. I'd take him either way, but we need proven pass catchers. Hopefully Lane pulls the trigger for us soon.
Another reason taking Phillips was the smart move at this time.
