When it comes to the OL, you always need to cast a much wider net to get to the numbers and quality you require. The state of Florida doesn't produce OL in such abundance as it does other positions.

Now, if we continue to go out of state for speed position players, then we have a very significant problem.

Well, that would mean we did pretty well in the state. So yes, it matters.

Of course but my point is we ate still "expected" to get those 3 so why all the "we suck at in state recruiting" when that hasn't been determined yet till feb. That's what I meant " does it matter" . Cause like you said if we get those 3 (as we're expected) we would have done well so this failed in state recruiting talk is a bit premature IMO.

GC...naturally CWM should be able to sell our program to Floridians, but it takes two to make a sale, and if he can better sell others until we prove ourselves instate, then better to find studs from alien jurisdictions than to do without studs. I am less concerned about where they come from than if they want to be Gators. Let us be particular when we have the reputation enabling us to pick and choose. I am quite happy with our current standings after the debacle that was last year.

I think all of this negative talk about in state recruiting stems mainly from the fact that we lost out on pretty much all of our local playmakes: Ray-Ray, Cain, Campbell, Williams... the list goes on. However, all four of those guys, as well as others are potential flips back to us during or after our season if we show up and play offense. Obviously not all of the guys we have missed on will suddenly flock back to us because we win a few games, but guys like Dexter Williams, Ray-Ray, and Campbell are all very loose in their committments to their schools (save for Campbell who hasn't officially committed anywhere).

The fat lady isn't even warming up her voice yet, so I think we need to focus on this season and enjoy what should be better, more exciting football games. Recruiting will take care of itself as long as we take care of business on the field.

I personally like that champ has busted down the recruiting borders in places like Louisiana, ohio, and California. Those were places that we haven t been able to secure a single recruits from in a decade (especially Louisiana). Those states all have highly rated studs and thanks to champ we have secured a couple of them recently like Jerome Baker and George brown from Ohio, and Gerald Willis III and derrick Dillon from Louisiana, and let's not forget about sheriron jones from cali, not sure why but that state produces a plethora of good QBs.

    Looks like a big boy.

I saw some shoulders and above pics and in those he didn't look like he was a fatty. 329 and just a 3 star with offers like Bama, UF and SC. Odd.

    Anyone know anything about him?

I look at it as new pipelines. If we prove it on the field the FL kids will come back and we've established new pipelines. :)

I've been going through our commitments to see we have anything new on them. It's been quite awhile since we have had any new info on Brandon Sandifer, does anyone have any?
