Durante yes, lewis well there's like fifty lewis' out there including our own top 100 we just got. Just refreshing my dormant football section of my brain. :) it, much like bears tries to hibernate during the offseason.

To be honest I don't blame the kids for waiting as well. If we stink up the joint like last season then this recruiting class will suffer greatly imo. If we do turn things around and get to Atlanta then I think we will be fine. I think the kids are more concerned in that if they commit to Muschamp they want to know he will be here until they graduate and I can't blame the kids for that, I would be the same way.

Ditto, we have to prove we are a top 20 program again. I think we will, but the proof will come in the Fall.

The fact is that even if kids committed to UF early, kids would decommit after a bad year anyway, just like Cook and others did this year, so its not like UF is losing anything by not getting early verbals.

Early verbals never meant much anyway, and with UF at a crossroads, they are pretty much meaningless now.

We are a top ten program, we have to prove we are a top 20 team.

I have to agree with that. UF is probably a TOP 5 program, or it should be.

Top 5 programs can occasionally stumble, but occasionally means occasionally. Like, last year and not again.

I would imagine some recruits want to see our new offense and see how the season plays out.

People did the same thing last year. The Florida kids usually wait until the start of the high school season. The others makes decision after the season. There is a good bunch planning to decide in August wait until then to start worrying. We are in pretty good position. OSU right now has two commits.

Its very concerning. Especially on offense but it's been like this for 4+ years. It will continue.

Post like these are hard to take seriously because they are just obvious shots at our coach and not really concern over our recruiting class thus far. Cause if it is genuine concern over a class that is 9 months away from signing day then you must be in full meltdown mode and VERY concerned for our beloved former coach meyer and his massive '15 class of 2 commits thus far. 1 4 star and 1 3 star none of which are in rivals 100.
We have more than 3 times the commits osu has 1 4* & 6 3* 1 in top 100 and 3/4 in top 300. 2 of our 3* commits are shooting up the boards (payton and farrior) after impressive camps this spring, and will prob. Be 4 * when all said and done.

The only teams that have multiple commits so far in top 100 are alabama and Florida State which just happens to be the last 2 champions so that's a bit expected

Meyer's a proven recruiter who can close. WM can flip but can't seal the big offensive fish on NSD. UF shouldn't be celebrating 3*. OSU will finish strong most likely above UF.

Meyer has certainly proved he can recruit very well in "start up" mode. But to date, he has never sustained it anywhere. He never had to at his interim stops at Bowling Green and Utah, and he flamed out here the last couple of classes and left gaping holes in our roster.

What makes you so sure his esophageal spasms aren't flaring after going 0-2 in his last two games... against the only ranked teams he's played in two years?

Well we are on the same page about meyer. Thought he could have just been honest and stepped down. My point though was no one is concerned about osu ' s class this early and they have only 2 average commits so I don't see any reason to be worried about our 7 commits nearly 10 months out while all our "big" targets are still on the board.

    Good point. Agree.

Also, people have to know many recruits might really want to be Gators, but also want to wait and see what happens this season with how we play and how stable the coaching situation is likely to be.

Not to mention some of our early 3* commits look to be diamonds in the rough. Payton, farrier, and Jordan (ol from jax) are all on the rise since spring camps started.

There are those who have 'concern' about recruiting classes when there's little to talk about. It's a stock post during quiet periods, sadly...

So when we signed the arguably the top WR class in the country and the top RB in 2013 that was bad?
How about last year when UF signed the top QB class in 2014? Fans are going to love Worton and Powell. Two kids UF picked up late and were not even on the radar for various reasons at this time last year

We are fine there is nothing to worry about right now. The top prospects on our board are still up for grabs they just need to make sure they get a good QB commit this summer which hopefully happens in june
