Something isn't right
@DerekTysonESPN: #Gators have now lost 3 DB commits. UF signed 4 #ESPN300 DBs last year & Hargreaves is only soph. Stings but not huge area of need for UF.
I actually think it because we do not have an IPF. This years recruits are looking for that first. How else can you explain Bama and FSU success?.
Oh I think it stings alot because of the special team play you get with D backs.. all phases.
I was wondering how we were getting db commits with such a young secondary. Now kids see how young and talented we are and they are getting with scared off or pushed out the door.
Yeah this wouldn't seem as bad if we had a bigger class right now. I know it is still early, but only 7 commits is starting to be a concern. I think it is much more important for us to land big time OLs, DEs, LBs, and skill position players right now. I just hope we start doing so quickly.
I think 4/5 decommits were DBs and we only graduate one senior at DB this year. I'm sure that explains a lot. Not to mention needing to prove ourselves offensively.
There is a recruiting forum where this is being discussed.
What is IPF?
Agreed, we definitely have quite a few OL's, DE's, and LB's in the mix. Hoping we finish a lot stronger than we started.
Indoor practice facility.
Who cares, we have gators to sign. These guys are a dime a dozen
Yeah you're right, the only reason we lost 3 DB commits and one other commit is because we don't have an IPF. I mean how else can you explain Bama and F$U's succcess, you hit the nail right on the head my man!
Oh wait, or is it because they've won 4 out of the last 5 National Championships?? Nahhh, that can't be it
I was just kidding knucklehead....
Haha ahh my bad man, I didn't pick up on the sarcasm
I don't remember this many this fast.
I usually try to remain positive when it comes to recruiting but it does seem that something just is not right this year so far. FNL usually generates a lot of excitement with recruiting and yields good news but this year there just was not much buzz about it. There was hardly any talk on Gator Country and between losing recruits and missing on Ray Ray you would have to say it's been a bad couple of weeks. I know we are still in on a lot of top recruits and nothing is certain until signing day but right now I am concerned.
Can you really blame them after the season we had last year? Maybe these kids want to hold out and see what the Gators will do this year??. Muschamp better get the job done on the field this year, because his job is on the line.
We will likely end up with a solid CB in this class.
