Damn, that response from Quincy was Awesome.
60% of the time, he's 85% commited to UF
I don't care that he is a kid, I'm sick of the wishy washy. Make a commitment, stick with it. Jerkwad. No well wishes from me.
By the way, from the little I saw of the UAAA game, Tabor did a nice job on Lane as well.
We've got fellow recruits tweeting "gator bait" at decommits now, lol
Post them if you seem them
Wilson is the only one I've seen so far:
Gator Boy$ @dc_wilson954 20m
Gatorrrrrrrr Baaaaitttttt RT “@_MoneyLane: @dc_wilson954 lol .. You ain't even like that yo boy !! Don't put on for twitter”
I thought he had some man about him.
Guess that will be a while in coming.
I think the whole Cook-Lane affair has made our coaches appreciative of the guys in our class and have been reaching out to everyone, reaffirming where we stand and where our recruiting stands. They obviously like what they're hearing and are responding as such.
Have to say, seeing them believe in themselves and the University has my spirits up for next season.
He changed his mind to FSU while being a UF commit. That says everything we need to know about him and his judgment.
As talented as cook and lane (lets not kid ourselves they are elite players) I'm happy that neither are going to be at UF. Having kids that aren't 100% gators causes a lot of division in the locker room because they put themselves before their team. We need playmakers but not these kind of playmakers.
He's Cook's little..... girlfriend.
Coeds beware Potbellys is gonna be poppin with talent.
God I love Quincy!
Just FYI, not sure how true it is so just take this as a rumor, but there were rumblings we pulled his offer yesterday due to test scores.
I had a disturbing thought when I heard about the Cook de-commit and am reminded of it again with Lane.
Are recruits now showing newfound interest in FSU because they just won the national championship? Hmm. Winning a championship is great but it doesn't necessarily bring as big a spike in recruiting as you might expect, because a lot of recruits want to go to up-and-coming programs with positions of need, as opposed to fully stocked ones that are on top of the mountain and have nowhere to go but down.
So here's the disturbing thought: I'm wondering if the revelations about the hedonistic player lifestyle at FSU are having anything to do with it. Wouldn't surprise me if this little morsel from page 62 of the JW police report has been making the rounds among recruits:
A few minutes later he watched as the female and Winston removed their own clothing and climbed on the bed and began to engage in sexual activity. Casher stated he went into the room to see if the female would engage in sexual activity with him as well (as has happened with other females he and Winston have brought back to their apartment); however, the female saw him and told him to get out.
Yes, yes, I'm sure Gator players get all the action they can handle as well. But they also get arrested for offenses as minor as barking at a police dog. Whereas recent events have shown that up at our state capital the environment is evidently quite a bit different.
Man you guys sound like a bunch of whiney University of Arizona fans.
Good riddance. We don't need or want any playmakers on offense here.
I wish him the best, it's tough for an 18 year old to make such a big decision that can effect their career. If he thinks not going to Gainesville is the best for him, let him go where he thinks is the best place for him.
The only word of advice I can offer him is that the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence, when you jump the fence and are up to your ankles in s**t, there is no jumping back to this side.
Good luck Mr. Lane, wherever you end up.
