    Says he is only 95% committed.

    @HamiltonESPN 4h
    #Gators WR commit Ermon Lane plans to officially visit #FSU & # Alabama. Says commitment at 95%. See #FSU as the #Gators competition only.

    I never understand why players 'commit' if they aren't sure. Do or do not. Surely commitment is a discrete idea rather than a continuous one?

    E.g. He's 'quite unique'.

    Let the fun and games commence...

    Hard to blame the kid for wanting to look around, I mean Murphs a breath of fresh air for the O but unless we show we want to throw skinny posts or deep balls more kids like Lane r gonna be hard pressed to get. Still not sure what we sold Robinson on...maybe we need guys like Lane so we can open up passing game more??

    I hear what you are saying but that's not what a 'commitment' is by definition. Look, then commit. The other way round it should be called 'keeping a spot warm for me'...

    Did Lane say this or is this the 247.com 'guessing' crew's prediction?

    Who are we going to throw them to? Hopefully Robinson and Fullwood, but not until they're ready. That might not be until after Lane has made up the remaining 5% of his mind. He would definitely be the answer for those deep balls. He's got a great 5th gear, maybe even a 6th. For a tall guy, he's got a lot of wiggle and great first step. He was impressive in The Opening taking short passes and turning them into long gains.

    I think Ermon needs to go sit by himself and have a long talk with Jah about his future.

    Can't blame him after seeing FSU put up 63 on a ranked (but still bad) Maryland team. Hopefully we'll be able to keep him on board. We can't whiff like we did with diggs...

    Cook's taking visits not looking around. He's more solid than Lane is.

    He was quoted in an espn insider article

    “My deciding factor will be comfort. I’m trying to weigh all my options and see the schools I really have in mind. I’m going to take those trips, and wherever I’m really most comfortable is where I will go. “

    That's solid?

    I think these recruiting website reporters often bait kids into giving comments they don't mean. A wavering Lane gets more hits than a comitted Lane.

    You weren't supposed to tell anybody about that. You could single handedly bring down the entire football recruiting website industry. The fallout could go on to bring down our entire economy, just like in the early 2000s. You'll be forever known as the guy who popped the football recruiting dot com bubble.

    And they ask them questions they aren't prepared to answer. "How committed are you Florida in terms of percentages?" "Uh, 95%?" That probably sounds pretty committed to Lane, especially if he is going to take a FSU visit, but we read it as him hedging.

    What I mean is... I didn't read the interview. Was it lane's own words that he's 95% or was it that guy's opinion on how committed Lane is.
