Meyer is the best individual recruiter of the three. Saban runs the best recruiting machine. The area I've been most impressed by Muschamp has been his strategy (focusing on Jacksonville last year, South Florida this year), not to mention his knack for hiring and promoting incredible recruiters (after the fiasco of the first year).

I am not really sure Meyer is the best recruiter of the 3. Meyer is a great sprinter. If it is a short process he will usually win. Muschamp is a marathon runner and will typically win the long race. Muschamp just goes where the talent is. Verducci wasnt a great recruiter but Charlie can recruit with anybody in the country.

Eh. Maybe hide the Sugar Bowl sweatshirts for a while, coaches.

For recruits, certainly. I think everybody on last year's team should be required to wear them three or four times a week.

BTW, how about that Ermon Lane! Can that kid play or what.

Oops! Sorry for the hijack. Forgot this was a thread about which coach can recruit the best.

First time I've gotten that close a look at him. He's got real dreads, not braids. That's pretty cool. Not that it will effect him with his helmet on, but I bet his hair hurt his forty time. 4.52 with shoulder length dreadlocks trailing behind you is pretty impressive.

Just looked at their updated list. Not bad for those guys. I like the respect they're giving Jamal Adams and Khari Clark, #8 and #47 respectively. Grier is a little low at #54 and Cook is #39, but not much to quibble about at this point. Nice to see four UF commits on a top 100 list six months from signing day. We used to average only four or five a year.

FWIW, Lane is #25 and the #2 WR. There is no consensus on who the best WR is. Lane seems to be the unanimous choice as the second best high school receiver in the country.

Is it fair to say that he would start game 1 of next year?

I do not think so. It is going to be pretty hard for him to get in the starting lineup. He is going to have to fight just to get on the field.
