Loved Lane in The Opening. It looked like he and Grier were psychic. Fast forward to real 11 on 11 all star games and future Gator DBs were inside his uniform. Best of luck to him. We'll be fine without him. Better still, we're about to sign one of the best DB classes ever, again. We got our WRs last year. They'll get great coaching from Joker this spring (so glad he didn't got to TX) and then we get start going after one of the best WR classes in Florida in years for 2015. Lane would be about the #3 or #4 guy out of that group. Let's just hope that we win a few more than four games in 2014. That will make it easier on the recruiting trail. Recruiting this year was miraculous. Miracles don't last forever.

IMHO, Adoree Jackson would be the best WR in the country if that's where he wanted to play, just like VH3 would have been last year (it's never too late). Let's get the best players on the field where they can help the most. It just seems like we had three times as much talent on defense last year as on offense.

He gets one year with Winston, assuming he even gets on the field. Before Winston f$u sucked. He is a once in two decades talent, but he will be gone and f$u will be competitive in the ACC but not on the national level. UF destroyed f$u the previous year. I think the series will even out. Down the stitch, Grier will out perform anyone f$u can bring in. Winston will be an NFL star and a fading memory.

I don't even want to say this because I'm afraid people will take it to mean "Lane isn't going to FSU" but...

I wouldn't be totally shocked if Lane pulls a fast one and goes somewhere outside of FSU. They are close to filling up, they have 3 WR's, they are on the brink of losing their best QB in the class to Florida, and they are loaded at WR for the next two years. The chances are slim to nil, but recruiting is a fickle game. I doubt he would come back to Florida, but I don't think it's a slam dunk for FSU just yet.

Correction I'M not forgetting Winston will be there for another year. Or that Grier isn't an outstanding QB with atleast 3 years at UF. But your forgetting I didn't say I feel that way........Unfortunately F$U has all the glory right now. The smart choice would be to predict which school will be better in the future (UF) but a high school kid might make his choice based on recent past (FSU)

He will commit on NSD without being qualified but to who WVU?

Do you know for a fact he isn't qualified?

Hate to put that kind of stuff out there unless we know it's true. Just sounds like sour grapes.

If he's taking the ACT for a second time, he isn't qualified. And technically he's right anyway since no one outside of EE's are qualified yet.

That being said, I think they are slow playing Ermon and not letting him commit so Rudolph doesn't bolt.. Put it this way, I'd wager Rudolph's loi comes over the fax before Lane is sent his.

FSU has won it's last two BCS bowls to finish in the top 10 ( higher ranked than UF- although only in 2 of 3 polls a yr. ago). Seems like a trend toward National level to me. While you can speculate on Winston leaving in 2014, no one can question that would then be 3 first round QB's in a row for the Noles. Grier might be good and I wish him a successful career save for one game a year but has UF coaching improved any QB of late? This would be why I'd question that FSU could not produce yet another top QB.

FSU lost to the only good team they played in 2012 - UF, and almost lost to the only good team they played in 2013. They were not elite until Winston came along and history says they wont be when he leaves.

To be fair, Clemson was a good team (better than the Bucknuts), and UFS curb stomped them in their house.

Winston did make a big difference for them, for sure.

No doubt but don't forget that FSU beat what was also a pretty good Clemson team (beat LSU) last season pretty badly without Winston too. They were up by 18 with about 2 minutes to go when Clemson scored with the outcome already decided.

So, FSU had Clemson's number two years ago, even without Winston? Fair enough.

Winston was still a big difference maker for them. Against Clemson and everyone else. They beat Clemson by 37 on their home field. Even worse than the beating we took with half our starters injured.

I'm not disagreeing with you. Just pointing out that it's not all just Winston. FSU was a better team than Clemson before Winston showed up. But he definitely made the gap wider.

SOS has certainly made them his mutts.

Without Boyd and Watkins (among others), have to think Climpson will backslide a bit next year.
