That is because he is going to Indiana. We have a 1% shot at Robinson.
Chances seem to be increasing
This a recruit to keep an eye on:
New article on Rivals about Mahmoud:
Here is a link to the rest of the article:
Well, Anas Osama Mahmoud, at 7'1" and 200 lbs looks pretty skinny to play 4 or 5. The statement "needs to gain strength" also suggests he is a two year away player. Louisville offered, but they are not really short on big men for 2015 like the Gators are.
His guardian appears to be giving this young man good advice: "Check the schools out and take your time."
It looks to me like 2015 will see a lot of 3 guard playing by the Gators, much like the football team plays 5 DBs most of the time, and sometimes 6.
2015 is two full seasons away, and it's possible we are getting a big time SF committment today.
A little worried that we definitely will be having a VERY young front court in 2015 as far as any PF and C on the roster - especially if we don't land one in 2014. But it's a little early to think we are going to be playing small ball. Plus we are getting some big guards here (with Francis at 6'4+" at SG, and if we land Robinson today that is a 6'8" SF).
And apparently, the Gators did manage to land Robinson, which is pretty good give that 1% chance.
He is going to Arizona, their insider (ACE) has already reported it. PGU's insider doesn't miss, ever. He is good friends with Book Richardson, Arizona's assistant coach.
Johnson has been a wildcat since the get go. Sorry to dash everyone's hopes, I was just kinda hoping no one would notice he was announcing Friday.
Any chance with Winslow?
Ace reported that Winslow is going to Duke. It was always pretty much an Arizona-Duke battle, but Billy did a good job to get third. Ace came out and said Winslow is going to Duke today. Arizona had given up on him.
with Harris gone, we are pretty desperate for a big man in 2014
I think he can be a really good college player. Great shooter and deceptively quick.
I was at city of palms watching him play. He shot a lot and made am extremely low percentage. It was honestly tough to watch. He did begin to play better at the end of the tourny. He began attacking more and that was (shocking to me) way more effective. His handle on the ball was very impressive.
Impressive offer list. WANT
Mahmoud to Louisville.
Hey @Bullis33 , are we going to get any bigs in the '14 class or are we holding off until '15 and '16?
