Angel Delgado tweeted that the list of five was false. Dunno if Florida remains on his list, but I'm sure he will likely add Louisville back.

This is an interesting blog on UK recruits (Perhaps REM and BEH might like it, or maybe they already know about it). Also interesting for us Gator fans, as there is some carry over with prospects like Stanley Johnson and Justice Winslow.

What an interestingly varied set of schools.

3 South, 2 Midwest and 1 Far West

    All are AAU except Tennessee

This group ranges from about the 29th to about the 45th North Latitude, and from about 81st to about 118th West Longitude. Wow, is that a massive area, or what?

Interesting Devin Booker puts us in his top 5. I don't see how we could take another shooting guard. I guess Francis could play the 3 or Booker could, much like Beal.

Yeah that guy does a good job of compiling info on his site. Makes it easy to follow the basics. He's also informative on twitter - albeit mostly from a UK perspective. There are times that info on his site will be very relevant to Florida - especially considering how many shared targets the two schools often have.

247 updated their 2014 rankings and there was quite a bit of movement. Biggest movement was Jones and Okafor dropping from 1 and 2 down to 5 and 6. Months ago I mentioned that I liked Mudiay more than Jones and I was happy to see some services are starting to agree. Francis moved into the top 20 also.

Craig Victor will likely announce for Arizona on Saturday, in my opinion.

I doubt anything comes of it but yes we could play 3 guards and either Francis or Booker could guard the SF spot in college. Francis is 6'5 and Booker is 6'6.

    Terry Larrier Planning 5 Officials
    August 15th, 2013 7:11 pm
Team Scan wing Terry Larrier is planning five official visits.

The 6-foot-8 Larrier will trip to UConn, Florida, Florida State, Miami and VCU, Team Scan coach Terrance “Munch” Williams told SNY.tv.

Larrier will visit Miami Sept. 7 and VCU Sept. 13.

A New York native who attends the Malvern (Pa.) Phelps School, Larrier recently cut his list to 10. He is also considering Penn State, Marquette, Minnesota, St. John’s and Seton Hall, but Williams said he will cut his list again “in the next couple of weeks.”

“He’s going to be an extremely versatile kid,” Williams said. “He’s going to be able to play the two, three and the four in college once he bulks up at the four. I think he’s going to be a team-first kid that likes to win and enjoys that process. He’s going to be a guy that gets better every year in college, until hopefully he goes and plays at the next level.”

Having a bunch of guys at that size that can play at a high level is a good thing.

Illinois 1989, the "Flying Illini", was built around a bunch of guys that size. If it wasn't for Glen Rice going crazy in the NCAA semi-finals they probably would have won it all. Illinois had beaten Michigan handily twice that year before that game, but every dog and or Wolverine has its day.

Not sure how much you guys care about the different sets of rankings, but Scout is releasing their new updated top 100 today in an hour or so.

EDIT: Here's the link. As I predicted, yet another service has elevated Mudiay over Jones. This one has Francis and Chiozza both at 4 stars ranked 35th and 43rd.

So now there is talk of a Stanley Johnson and Justice Winslow package. As of now only UF, UK and Zona are on both of their lists. Of course Zona already has Victor. Still we shall see if this package is more than just talk.

If it's a package, it's going to be 99% Arizona. I realize UF and UK have offered both, but UK just offered Justice 5 weeks ago. Johnson loves Arizona.
