I hope so too. I don't think they are flipping Rudolph. His recent quotes haven't given any indication that he is wavering. This is an underwhelming WR class IMO. This concerns me, because we definitely have early playing time available. Hopefully we can keep J.C. Jackson and land A. Jackson. Either of them would be great to have on the offensive side of the ball.

I actually think McKenzie was the guy I was most looking forward to seeing in O&B in this class. Not that he was the most important - we've got a lot of great talent in areas of need including key players on both lines, Tabor, Grier, etc... but I just like watching his game, and could really picture him hitting big plays for us.

AJ could cheer me up on that front, though. :D

Now lots of predictions of McKenzie to Ole Miss. I'm getting tired of them pulling talented kids out of Fla.

Would love to have seen the Gators get 1 or 2 of Quinton Flowers, K.D. Cannon, Artavis Scott, Jamil Kamara or Corey Holmes. But I am not totally displeased with who they have and hope they can close with Worton, Jackson, Jackson (keep) andMcKenzie....

Just saw that he has eliminated ND, which means he isn't visiting this weekend. That makes Ole Miss on 1/24 his last visit and they are now trending. Ole Miss? Seriously?

Yes, on 1/17. At the time it looked like ND was our main competition.

No idea. I know Freeze can supposedly recruit but they can't offer him anything on the field that we can't.

Look at Rivals rankings of WRs:

We have 0 of the top 20 at this time
We have 1 in the top 50 at this time

    RBs:

We have 0 in the top 50 at this time

    All-Purpose Rbs
    We have #9 overall

    Athletes:

We have 0 in the top 50 at this time.

Contrast that with our Defense for instance:

DTs: We have #2 overall and #21
    CBs: We have #3, #9, #14, #21 overall
Strong side DE: We have #6 overall

We almost need to reverse the above. We need the #3, #9, #14, #21 WRs and #2 overall athlete and #6 overall RB. Who scares you on our offense right now? Which player do you think strikes fear in opposing defenses? Kelvin Taylor maybe and that is it. We need play makers and desperately. Play makers make the QB look better, the OC look like a genius and the team much better. We can't keep having average to poor recruiting at the skill positions.

Unless you have visited there, it will be hard for you to understand. It is a beautiful campus and a great little college town. Lots of really great looking Mississippi Misses also. It is an easy life there. My son and a great deal of friends' sons and daughters went there and loved it. Many were from Gator families. The fact that they have been kicking butt in recruiting the last 2 years is a tribute to their coaching staff's hard work and sales strategies.

Say what you will but it has a certain appeal that requires a visit to understand. It's not UF but everyone is not in love with UF hence other schools get recruits.

I am a Gator for 49 years and I wish that all of my kids could have gone there. I am sure you know the hardship of gaining entry there these days.

I get your point but once again we got plenty of "playmakers" last year that didn't see the field much or not at all. I'm hoping that changes.

I'd agree with this but for football its about winning. Even though last year was ugh, we are still UF.

This really is a concern in my opinion. We have got to do a better job of landing the top kids in Florida. There were a ton of great playmakers in state this year (Cook, Lane, Scarborough, Rudolph, Scott, Michel, Ford, McKenzie, etc.), and if they didn't end up at FSU, they ended up out of state. That has to stop for Florida to be successful on offense. Hopefully Roper's new scheme can turn this around, and fast.
