NM. I see the new date.
He's a bail for UGA because they're a true LOS SEC team. They've been managing the Oline roster for years. They'd take Sharpe if they had room. Getting Sharpe shouldn't be such a damn struggle.
just watched him play basketball. somewhere between bad and awful. also, he is committing to florida for football
I hadn't watched any tape on him until now. That's an athletic guy! He's raw, which wouldn't worry me except that he has an ex all-pro OT as a coach. Wonder what the deal is.
talked to one of his high school teammates/friends that expects him committing to UF. it will be shock if he does not apparently. i am just the messenger, not an insider so don't crucify me; figured it was some good news to inform the boards on.
I think he's making the right decision if he likes the Gators and wants to get on the field.
i agree. plus it is close to home, doesn't effect some recruits, but too others it has some sort of effect. that, plus seeing an immediate need for his position have to be big plus's for him
It would shock everybody if he doesnt commit to UF thursday (pending another delay)
On the tweet about him announcing at the ale house it said "#1 recruit in state" now I have to believe this is just hype cause he is only rated 3* on rivals. I know he has great size 6'8 or 6'7 depending on the site and needs to add weight but where did all this hype come from? Is he really that coveted or just more of a project hopeful?
He's a 4* on rivals, but nowhere near the best recruit in the state, IMO. Maybe in Jacksonville.
I wouldn't take him over Lane or Cook right now. That being said, he'd be a great addition to the class and is a great need as well.
He's ranked the #2 prospect in the state according to ESPN (behind Sonny Michel) & #1 according to 247, not sure why rivals has a lower grade on him but I would expect it to fall some where in line with the other services once they update.
Just looked up ESPN. If (big if) we hold our commits and lock down Sharpe that gives us 5 of the top 14 from the state of FL. Noles look to get 2, canes 3. It amazing we're dominating the state after our worst yr. in decades and the noles are in the MNC.
Get Sharpe......Land Holley......keep Cook.....would be a nice week of Recruiting.....
The rule of thumb in recruiting is that the season you have this year affects next year's recruiting. Except for the superstars, most kids are getting to know the college coaches and programs their junior year of hs. When this year's prospects were first getting acclimated to the whole recruiting scene and colleges were making their first impressions on them, UF was putting together an 11-1 regular season and whipping fsu's little bottoms in the process. This is why I thought we do well this year.
By the same token, to do extremely well next year will take a superhuman effort by the staff.
We actually look in better shape for next year than this one in alot of aspects we are considered the "favorite" if you will or one of the top for alot of top recruits.
Jeffrey holland. LB.
Byron Cowart DE
Cece Jefferson DE
Martez Ivey OL
Jake fruhmorgan ol
Jacques patrick RB
Devante phillips WR (commit)
Kevin Tolliver II
And a slew of others.
A lot of top talent next class is from Florida and alot in UF'S backyard/ prime recruiting grounds like tampa and Jacksonville area.
Next years class as the chance to be one of the best classes of all time it will all depend on how we do next year though.
@SHARPECITYY: Don't know yet what y'all think??? http://t.co/wXMO6iR1xN
