But are they "good"? Their #2 DT on one side is 265. How many minutes did T Johnson play? Their DEs look exceptionally small as a group.

USCw isnt the threat. It's UGA/Clemson.

    Here's the latest on Sharpe:

    Ouch!

"Sharpe won’t name his top school publicly, but someone close to him told me Georgia has the edge over UF. One of the reasons, the source said, is because Sharpe was turned off by Florida’s offense with Jeff Driskel prior to his season-ending injury. The quarterback change with Tyler Murphy has helped, but what the ‘Dawgs are doing offensively is carrying more weight.

The source added that whoever receives Sharpe’s last trip will likely land his commitment because the most recent school he visits always seems to gain the lead. After Sharpe, the Gators don’t really have any options remaining at offensive tackle as far as top-flight linemen are concerned."

I wonder if he realizes that Murray is a senior and won't be there if he signs with Georgia.

I was thinking about how on our DL the players who have anchored it the past few seasons were Meyer recruits and top 5 at their position coming out of HS. Rankings matter somewhat and I don't think we're going to be "elite" getting 40th and 50th ranked prospects. Sure, you have some guys that are more or less overlooked that turn out to be good--> great but we're not going to be that competitive unless we start getting some our share of the top players. Both lines need some top commits.

You are referring to star ranking by amateur evaluation staff.
Look at the offer list and you can get a value options on a recruit.
Will M staff using NFL systems as does Bama and most of the SEC

Chicks dig the long ball. Apparently OL recruits do too?

With his dislike of UF's Off. and JD...Does he favor a passing Off. rather than a running attack? Is he considered a pass blocker rather than a run blocker?

He's projected as a left OT, so he's certainly more valuable on passing plays, which make up only 30% of UF's offensive play selection. On a positive note (sort of), if our running game doesn't improve we'll probably start throwing more often.

Yes, here is his follow-up comments after the game. You can tell based on his comments before and after that he prefers Tyler Murphy. He said, "it seemed like the offense was more up-tempo or fast pace than in the past.”

I would think he'd be excited about the opportunity to step right in for Humphries. He'd have to be an understudy for just one year. Any OL that wants to start his first year wants to play for s a desperate program.

By fast paced does he mean we've shrunk the games down to about 2.5 hours of actual time and it's only that long because of espn

he is still very interested in florida. it is between uf and uga. i graduated from providence high school a few years back and my younger sister is good friends with him. she is always in his ear about going to UF! she tells me that he has for sure not ruled out UF. i think it is 50/50. if we beat up UGA in jacksonville(which he will be at) i think that will be huge for us. go gators!

I have a hard time believing a prospect like Sharpe would pick a school because of a head to head match up

here you go again taking what i said and blowing it up. did i say sharpe was going to attend the school that wins the matchup in jacksonville on nov 2? no i didn't. so please stop your know it all BS and take what i said for what i said. of course if the gators beat uga that will help them gain an edge in recruiting but no it won't lock it up.
