@rivalsmike: And now source tells me #psu is strong leader for Thomas Holley but delay is that not all in family convinced. Still a #florida holdout?

Sorry, but as kindly as it can be said, I'd rather have a great coach for a couple of years than a mediocre one for 5 or 6 years or until we fire them. Most of us are sick of mediocrity or worse. We need to show recruits and their high school coaches that Excellence and Quality coaching is back in Gainesville.

    LoL. Agree.

I'd rather have a great coach with a C+ roster that was slightly hurt by recruiting losses due to turnover than the subpar coach with his B- roster.

I think some people would be shocked at how great our current roster could look if we had great coaching.

Hopefully he committed to the head coach and not PSU. I don't understand why he wants to go to a school where the Head coach may leave, especially if you add in the fact that they cant go to any bowl games or conference champs for 2 more years.

Perhaps in my previous post, I was not as thorough as I needed to be.
Of course, we need to have a very high level of coaches here at Florida.
That always comes first and foremost.

What I meant was... that we need to have both...
Great, top shelf coaches... who stay at a program for more than two years.
Coaches leaving at the frequency Florida has experienced... has had a rough effect on us.
(Check out PD's article from last week...)

Arggh, darnit! He would have really helped us and I think been part of a DL he would have be very proud to play a role in.

Strange. Their head coach has voiced his desire to leave for the NFL. (Per Ackerman) And they're also on probation. He must really like pen state. Good for him if he's found the school he likes. Sucks for us but we'll get our share of studs.

Like I said in the Let talk recruiting thread" we were going to be in it for the long haul but distance was a factor

If we can stay healthy. If you take an objective look at the teams in the east, it's hard to argue that we don't return the best team.
