Like the # 5 draft pick from Ghana. Play only one season of football. His senior year. Up till then he spent 3 yrs trying out for basketball and then track never being on scholarship but didn't succeed at those 2 so then football it was. Physical speciman.

We've been on him since way back in the spring. Our defensive staff has stayed intact. I like our chances.

After looking around im starting to think we have a legit shot at TH. I still think he picks psu but we're not just a hat on the table. He and Clark with bostwick and brantley would be tremendous. We could run some 4-3 defense

Did something change? Seems like the "crystal ball" people on the OS are starting to predict UF. Even the top Ohio State person says UF.

sounds like Florida fits everything he's looking for. But the article gives the vibe that he will choose penn st. If I had to guess, I'd say Penn st. Hope I'm wrong.

Penn State: According to CBS Sports reporter Jason La Canfora, Bill O'Brien has been approached by the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans. La Canfora says O'Brien is "ready to return to professional football," and came close to taking the Philadelphia Eagles job last year.

    Should help our chances.

I suppose, but Id be happy to have Dan Quinn or someone similar even if it is only for a year or two.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported on Sunday that the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings have already approached O'Brien, who served five seasons as an assistant under Bill Belichick.

Houston fired head coach Gary Kubiak following the team's Week 14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and is currently in the catbird's seat for the No. 1 overall pick.

Leslie Frazier is still employed by the Vikings, but this news obviously doesn't bode well for his future. Frazier has been on the hot seat previously, and Minnesota's 3-9-1 record is a major disappointment a year after making the playoffs.

Those two teams being interested in O'Brien is not a surprise. What is interesting, however, is that he has indicated he's ready to return to the pros, per La Canfora.

While the Nittany Lions will slowly be awarded increases in their scholarship total, they are still banned from the postseason for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. That, along with a massive fine and other punitive penalties, has made O'Brien's job arguably the hardest in the nation.

Sorry, but as kindly as it can be said, Florida has had it share of coaching lasting two to three years... (Quinn) and then, going on to other jobs. All of us are sick of it.
The ONE thing that Florida has lacked over the last five to six years is: Continuity
We need to show these recruits AND their high school coaches that continuity is BACK at Gainesville.

Having committed coaches you want to keep around is the hard part. If they are really good it shows and they get other opportunities.
