At the rate offenses are switching to the spread you will need at least 8 game ready players that play safety and/or corner if you want to be an elite D. The fact that Muschamp was able to produce the conference's #1 pass defense in an 8 loss season has to resonate with any high school defender that wants to get NFL ready.

Excellent pickup--and from a great high school too. Our last guy from there worked out fairly well, so here's hoping Tabor can be a worthy successor.

Hope it's not too greedy to also want Jackson, but I think he'll probably go somewhere else now. I can personally vouch for UF's track program though. :)

I hope not. That's about the fastest route to probation. NCAA investigated Sharrif Floyd just because he made money for his school visits by holding bake sales.

I always add a star to a player who enrolls early. Tabor is now a 6 star guy.

Although I'm not totally sure we want to be the #1 pass defense. Usually means teams are playing conservative against us in the second half.

Jackson is a very different type of player than Tabor, even if he stays on defense. I think they would compliment each other quite well. If Jackson does end up at USC, it will have nothing to do with Tabor.

Interesting that we are still going after corners after whiffing at LB. In two years, our base defense could be a 4-1-6.

nevermind...looked up pass yards allowed for last year....FSU was #1...I'm shocked. I assumed being up big on teams meant giving up meaningless pass yards in the second half of games. I couldn't have been more wrong.

UF's class just moved up to #7 on 247sports. UF and Bama are the only teams with four 5 star prospects in their class. Jackson, Carter and Prince are still in play. Wonder who else out there could flip in our direction.

This class is a bit top heavy by UF standards. It's unusual to see so many more players with three stars than four. It's really unusual not to see any RBs or LBs.

I am pretty sure your family member can pay your tuition and I don't think walk-on's are a high priority to the NCAA. I am pretty sure his brothers going to Toledo had a lot to do with J's sweet set up in Ohio.

    Are 3 CBs enough?

Agree with all, especially Damian Prince.

Great news! Our corners are going to be sick. Maybe best since Haden and Jenkins. Really positive recruiting news lately. Really impressive by Muschamp after such a terrible season and constant negativity.
