He played like "that guy" at Tennessee and FSU two years ago... He just needs to be more consistent, which I believe he'll achieve more of next year.

I've been critical of his playmaking ability on here, but I honestly do hope he spent this time working out the kinks because physically, he is an incredible talent.

Almost certainly the most physically gifted QB we've ever had.

More tempo and read option Driskel will turn back to his old self

Almost all his mistakes have come in slow grind it out pocket moments

    Agreed.

I would put Roper's priorities as follows:
    1) offensive line
1a) getting Driskel back on track

Of course, fixing 1) will go a ways toward accomplishing 1a).

Maybe Auburn will kick Winston's butt tonight and tarnish this invincible image fsu is enjoying.

Actually, that pass looked an awful lot like a long one that Spurrier might have thrown. A bit wobbly, but on target.

With a good OC, some protection and permission from the head coach to do more than run 1st, run 2nd, run 3rd, Driskel can be a very good QB. He is a redshirt Jr this upcoming year.

Absolutely anything can happen in a bowl game. Just look at last year's Louisville-Florida, and this years Oklahoma-Bama, UCF-Baylor matchups.

However, I think FSU has a pretty good team this year, and Auburn is only there due to Deus Ex Machina level miracles against both Georgia and Bama. So, I think the probabilities favor FSU.

Agree, but we need a QB competition and to find a backup QB who we also get ready. We can't count on one guy making it through the season - especially when JD's prior three seasons all saw him miss games due to injury. A lot of games in total.

We just really need to let him run the read-option this year...everything else will open up a bit more because of it.

Grier rushed for around 1300 yards this year at 10 ypc. I would hope we don't ask him to do that at UF, but the kid has really quick feet, like sub four second shuttle times. I have to think that having him lead the offense in the O&B game will make things easier for Driskel when he comes back. IMHO, I think Driskel is a very promising QB. He just needs to be healthy and spend a lot of time looking at film. A Grier vs Driskel competition in the fall will be entertaining, but not a "for real" competition. With all the trouble our OL had, a 190 pound QB is out of the question.

Props to Will. He deserves it, even given the level of competition he played against. His performance at The Opening legitimized him as a high level D-1 prospect and potential star. He's got it. Put the right talent around him and a high level of talent against him and he will rise to the occasion.

Didn't see his name on the list. Did see a lot of studs though; Manning being one of them.
