Reminds me of a Taylor Martinez who can actually throw.
"Grier was the Gatorade Player of the Year in North Carolina and threw for 68 touchdowns and 5,609 yards, a state record. Nationally, only three quarterbacks have thrown for more yards in one year.
But Grier does have one national record. His 837 passing yards against Harrells Christian on Nov. 9 were the most by a high school quarterback in a single game. His team won 104-80 and he accounted for 12 touchdowns (10 through the air)."
No, that highlighted score above is not a misprint. I'm still shaking my head about that score. Are you kidding me? Holy cow!
Reading this thread has made my day! Welcome to Gator Nation Will!
I read on another website that some dude said Grier throws like Andrew Luck and runs like Cam Newton. Nice!
I'm assuming Clemson is all over the players from both of those defenses??? We don't stand a chance.
Wonder what UF commit QB Max Staver is thinking right about now?
Presumably Max understood that we would recruit a QB the year after he signed.
based on a quick look at other site rankings there are no 5 star QB's for 2014 yet. Not that star ratings really mean anything, just thought I would post my findings.
there is one he is in Cali and he will go to a school in Cali
Jeb Blazevich @JebBlazevich
S/O to @willg7533 committing, stay true to it and I'm jealous man #StayBlessed
Big time 2014 TE out of North Carolina he didnt have Florida his final list he recently released but maybe Grier can get Florida back in the hunt
Here's an interesting quote by Grier:
garorrick at least he will learn adversity fast. When they are done hanging up the phone on him he can call 2014 prospect
I have mentioned this before about Grier committing this early for us and that it will help recruiting a lot. Especially the offensive players we are looking for. The timing is perfect, especially if he may help in flipping DR again.
But gee whiz...why isn't Grier a 5 star? Is something wrong with him?
Yeah, maybe, but you gotta love his determination and desire to get the best receivers to play with him and the Gators.
Oh great, another qb whose name posters will undoubtedly have difficulty spelling
He is in the 2014 class. After signing day, I believe he will get his 5th star.
He's already recruiting for us - I'm just as happy about it as you are.
The future looks as bright as it ever has around here.
