I'm talking about coaching, why would you wanna go play for some old washed up coach who is full of himself that I guarantee will be fired or retired by the time he leaves, there not very much certainty in their coaching staff right now our staff and facility lies are as good as any college in the country and its not thousands of miles away

Texas is going to be fine with or without Mack Brown

I'm sure I'm just talking about stability, it seems like both our programs have gone down hill since the 2009 season but now our problem is gone and found the solution to theirs and made it ours (muschamp) and they are stuck with theirs and I don't see then getting any better with mack brown as their coach, its kind of the same situation also as FSU when they made bobby Bowden retire

Tend to agree. Texas as a football program not attractive right now. If we had to lose him to any school Texas is relatively benign compared to an miami, fsu, etc.

Yea, mack brown vs bobby bowden, good comparison. Longer the Horns wait, the worse it gets and the more ground their rivals gain.

I see where you are coming from but that is not going to impact a recruit. It is not like Mack is on the hot seat like Kiffin. When UF had a few down seasons it didnt really impact recruiting.

The update on Cook is he had a great time but is still solid to UF it doesn't look like he promised them and official so that is a good thing

What about Austin would make it attractive to a 17 year old kid from Miami? I've always wondered why people loved Austin so much, having lived here for my entire life minus my college years.

Miami is a trash hole to live in. Why wouldn't he want to leave there is a better question.

Percy but he doesn't have the WR ball skill Percy had. I always thought of Percy as a RB with really good WR skills.

Slightly slower? In one clip, he outran the entire Booker T Washington defense. Chris Rainey was caught from behind MANY, MANY, MANY times.

It was the most infuriating thing about him.

In college but in hs he never got caught I live in lakeland and went to some of their games and the times he did get caught the most memorable one was against FSU when it was storming and the field was a lake

Pretty sure rainey ran damn near a 4.2 I doubt cook would beat him in a race. I also think he's a better back mainly because of his size and deceptive strength.

Agree there, if they touched Rainey he would get tackled, cook is got elite speed and will be over 200 lbs, much more fit to play rb than rainey

Maybe one reason Rainey was caught from behind was because during his runs he'd run East/West 20-40 yards before breaking one downfield allowing for defenders to catch him.

The one time that I specifically remember Rainey getting caught from behind was during the FSU game. It looked like CR was off to the races and like a bullet an FSU LB caught him. Making it look easy too.
