Any idea on attendance? More? Less? The same?
May 7th. PCGC little under a thousand. Announced as the largest so far.
Will's a southern boy. Going to Broward-Dade is like going back to NY.
I kid, folks, I kid. (sort of)
I grew up in Miami and actually years ago that could be very true. In my many visits to Miami in these recent years that doesn't come to mind anymore. Not when you hear far more another language being spoken than those with a NY NJ accent.
The NY/NJ thing seems to have migrated north and west--North to Ft. Lauderdale/WPB area (although still in Miami Beach), and West to Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area.
Miami doesn't remind me of New York or latin America or really anywhere--it's its own thing. Miami is Miami, and has been for decades. A place that other places remind you of, not a place that reminds you of other places.
I know there has been a lot of changes and differences now from when I grew up in Miami. But I just have unlimited great memories of those times and can get a little emotional even now when I think about them. And still enjoy my visits back to the Tropical Paradise, my last was in late November. And as always had to go to Shorty's Bar BQ 0n South Dixie Hwy. And last time went to the Rusty Pellican for great seafood on the Rickenbacker Causeway, on the way to Key Biscayne.
Hope everyone who was able to attend a 2014 Spring Gathering with Coach Muschamp had a great time and experience!
