Really have to respect the guy for not playing us and flat out decommitting unlike a certain recruit heading to the "University of Florida State". Can't fault him for picking the situation best for him and handling it with class.

Wanting the kid to stick but in the end looks like he felt he'll have a better opportunity elsewhere, have to respect that.

It's a shame - he looks a quality prospect and I'm not sure our D can ever have enough of those in the backfield!

I can not imagine a team with weaker depth at CB that UF. He would be in the 2-deep by default. But best of luck to him. He is a great player.

Glad he was upfront about the change, but he still has a ton of opportunity here. As do Dawson and Jackson.

It amazes me that other teams can sign 11 on the offensive line (f$u in 2011, which basically doubled their count at the position) or have 7 committed defensive backs (UT this year, which gives them 19 over the last five years), but at UF it seems that we can only sign enough to get by. I'll be glad when Machen leaves so I can see if UF starts to oversign/grayshirt/etc. like the other schools do.

His exact quote was "5 for 1" meaning the CB position opposite VH3. We play 4 CBs at all times, we have 6 either rostered or recruits including Washington who is a CB/S. Seems either not interested in competing for a job or unaware of our defensive scheme.

This is why you can't get serious with recruiting. This was posted in August. Well we got 2 out of 3 maybe.
