I'm not AS or anything, but from what I read and comprehended is that we're trending downwards now. I believe LSU might be ahead, but with recruits who actually knows.

That doesn't really help us with LSU though

I havent read anything about LSU being a factor. Last I read was he was basically down to UF and Oregon and wants to run track. I think I read that in one of Derek Tyson's mailbags

I want this kid bad. Him and VH3 as a duo would have us solid for a few years at cb.

That would make our secondary as dynamic as its ever been. But he wants to play offense and Oregon is selling him deanthony Thomas spot. I really hope we can pull this guy off.

Yup, and we all know Florida has no DeAnthony Thomas spot. Also our track team is selling him big time.

I guess maybe they could sell the Soloman Patton role if they wanted him on offense.

True it could work, just avoid adding in the jet sweeps. Horrible. Never worked really. I would think he would like to do kick offs and punt returns? Watching star defensive players like Marcus Roberson do punt returns absolutely blows my mind, when coaches are confused about injuries.

I guess they see something in practice, idk, but I would have this guy returning kicks and punts first year. He's a highlight waiting to happen. I think he would do great in the jet sweeps especially considering he can stretch the field. Adoree Taylor and cook on the field at the same time would surely open up some mismatches. I personally want to see this guy in orange and blue, playing offense

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Oregon also has a strong track program.

Patton has been outstanding on the jet sweeps, like 8+ yards per attempt. That is "horrible"?

The only thing mind blowing is how some posters parrot verbatim what Gary Danielson says despite never having thought about it before he made the comment, then expect it to come off as insightful. Poor, stupid coaches. These boards are laughable sometimes.

I was thinking the same thing about the jet sweeps but was worried I wasn't remembering it right. It's been a very good play for us and it was definitely noticeable when Patton went down last year and that element was taken away.

and Roberson is back there returning punts because he seems to be the only one who can actually field the ball.

I think he must have been confusing jet sweeps and the wildcat or something.

I'd be selling him whatever I had to to get him on the team.

On a team that needs explosive players on offense and has a pretty deep defensive backfield with the ability to seemingly pull in most of the elite talent we want there, why aren't we recruiting him for offense?

i can almost guarantee you if he comes to UF they'll try him on both sides of the ball and put him where he's needed most.
