I would seed the Atlantis Tourney teams something like the following:

    1. Wisconsin
    2. Florida
    3. North Carolina
    4. Oklahoma
    5. UCLA
    6. Georgetown
    7. Butler
    8. UAB

Game 1's: Wisky vs UAB; Florida vs Butler ("revenge"); UNC vs G'Town; OU vs UCLA

Game 2's: Wisconsin vs (OU/UCLA winner); Florida vs (UNC/Georgetown winner)
UAB vs (OU/UCLA loser); Butler vs (UNC/G'Town loser)

Game 3's (Finals): (Winner of Wisconsin vs OU/UCLA) vs (Winner of Florida vs UNC/G'Town),
    Consolation games:
(Loser of Wisconsin vs OU/UCLA) vs (Winner of Butler vs UNC/G'Town loser)
(Loser of Florida vs UNC/G'Town loser) vs (Winner of UAB vs OU/UCLA loser),
(Loser of UAB vs OU/UCLA loser) vs (Loser of Butler vs UNC/G'Town loser)

There are a lot of good possibilities for Florida to play against some great competition. The Gators could end up playing North Carolina/Wisconsin or Georgetown/UCLA or Oklahoma (Lon Kruger's new team), etc.

Just got a postcard today that season tickets go on sale May 16th.

Without a schedule how do they know how much to charge?

Or do they figure out a season ticket price and then adjust individual ticket prices to match?

We will be playing as part of ESPN's Tip Off Marathon on Nov. 14th. Not sure of the opponent...the only current opponent that would fit would probably be UCONN. If it's not them then gotta think it would be against at least a good mid-major.

    http://www.al.com/auburnbasketball/index.ssf/2014/05/bruce_pearl_lands_road_game_at.html

"Pearl confirmed Tuesday night at the Atlanta Tiger Trek that the Tigers will play a road game against Colorado, a possible preseason top-25 pick, and may meet another potential high-profile opponent in ESPN's Tip-Off Marathon.

"It might interest you to know that we'll be playing at Colorado," Pearl said in his meeting with reporters. "And they're going to be pretty good."

The Buffaloes, an NCAA Tournament team last season, lost leading scorer Spencer Dinwiddie to the NBA Draft, but Colorado's still expected to be a pos

The other game is part of the SEC's package deal, with three teams -- Kentucky, Florida and Auburn -- making appearances on the SEC Network on November 14, the opening night of college basketball."

I'd rather see the defending Nat'l Champs-UCONN come in and play the Gators. Far superior match-up & made for TV game.

We can assume that we will probably be hosting one or two of Coastal Carolina, ULM, and/or Robert Morris

"UTC is in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament this season. The Mocs will travel to Wisconsin and Butler for the on-campus portion, then will host the Battle 4 Atlantis Mainland event on November 26-27, with Coastal Carolina, Louisiana-Monroe and Robert Morris coming to McKenzie Arena."

Great stuff. I wonder if the earlier game was a two-for-one deal, or if we are setting up a homecoming game for Alex Murphy the following season (the earlier Yale series included a homecoming game for Eric).

Is William & Mary the first game of the season.....if so, do we play a secret scrimmage again this year?

Yes, W & M is the 1st Official game. Barry (D-2) is the 1st UO game & high probability Fla plays a closed scrimmage game similar to Ga. Tech last season, Rollins the prior yr & UCF the year before that! I would think USF would be a good bet this season.

ESPN has announced the SEC Super Tuesday games. Florida will be in the following four.

Tue, Jan 20 LSU 7:00 pmESPN
Tue, Jan 27 at Alabama 9:00 pmESPN
Tue, Feb 3 at Vanderbilt 9:00 pmESPN
Tue, Feb 24 at Missouri 9:00 pmESPN

One thing to note here is the absence of a UF-Kentucky game. Often, the first UF-Kentucky game is on the Tuesday night of ESPN's rivalry week. Last season, however, it was a Saturday night game, which may be the plan again this year. It is Florida's turn to host the early game this year, with Kentucky hosting on senior night.

If Georgia released its full sec schedule yesterday and espn announced its games, how is it Florida can't already know and release it's sec schedule?
