We pick all SEC games each week. If there are less than 10 games involving SEC teams in any given week, then some Top 25 matchups are included to bring the number to 10.

Vandy wants to live up to its "Harvard of the South" reputation so it schedules Ivy League schools in football

UMass isn't Ivy League. They aren't even a great school. There are several area schools that aren't Ivy League but are much better, such as Boston College and Bucknell.

    - I hate Tennessee with a blinding irrational hatred that cannot be fully explained. I hate them worse than any team, anywhere, anytime. I feel dirty picking them. Just so dirty...

Colorado State at Alabama (-39.5) I think 'Bama could beat the spread against Colorado, not to mention Colorado State...

Arkansas at Rutgers (-1.5) Arky is 1-2 ATS this year, and this is their first road test...

    Auburn at LSU (-16.5)

Tennessee at Florida (-16.5) The Gators will win the game, but offensive issues will keep them from beating the spread...

    North Texas at Georgia (-32.5)

    Troy at Mississippi State (-14.5)

Missouri (-2.5) at Indiana. Indiana wins this game outright...

SMU at Texas A&M (-28.5) The Aggies just don't throttle these weaker teams like God intended...

Vanderbilt (-31.5) at UMass. TOP PICK The line is too high. UMass only lost by 30 on the road to K State last week. The Minutemen don't suck as bad as you think. And K State is probably a little better than Vandy at this point...

Arizona State at Stanford (-7.5) The Cardinal hasn't beaten the spread yet this season...

Colorado State at Alabama (-38.5): 39 points is a lot for any team outside of Eugene to score, but the Rams do not have a strong defense and their offense will stay off the field. Alabama 48, Colorado State 7

Arkansas at Rutgers (-3.5): **Top Pick*** Bielema has already put his stamp on the team with strong defense. Rutgers defense isn't great and their offense looks weak. In an upset special, I say Arkansas 24, Rutgers 17

Auburn at LSU (-16.5): Tigers are at home, Mettenberger seems to have had the light turn on, and LSU's defense is solid, if not indomitable. Auburn still has to get the cobwebs out. With this game at Death Valley, I'll go LSU 34, Auburn 14

Tennessee at Florida (-15.5): While Florida's offense is not Oregon, Tennessee's defense is not Miami. No question that Boom/Brent has been working on the offense, and with a bye week and home game, I do not see Florida burning me against the Vols. In a ***Top Pick*** I have Florida 28, Tennessee 10

North Texas at Georgia (-31.5): Georgia scores at will. Georgia 44, N. Texas 10

Troy at Mississippi State (-14.5): Not sure I like Bulldogs to cover. Their offense is meh, and Trou can move the ball. Miss State 27, Troy 17

Missouri (-3.5) at Indiana: Hoosiers look stronger than they do most years, but I thinl Mizzou covers with their improved offense and defense. Mizzou 28, Indiana 17

SMU at Texas A&M (-28.5): Sumlin gained over 600 yards against Alabama. SMU has the 84th ranked defense: Texas A&M 56, SMU 21

Vanderbilt (-31.5) at UMass: The New Bama isn't as strong as they were last year, but we're talking UMass here. Vandy 48, UMass 7

Arizona State at Stanford (-7.5): Cardinal hasn't looked as dominant as in the past, and Arizona State is no patsy, but Stanford is at home, and I think they will meet the challenge. Stanford 31, Arizona State. 21

I'm glad we're almost done with these 30+ point spreads. You know most SEC teams are more than capable of scoring 70+ against some of these cupcakes if they want to, but you just have no idea when they're going to decide to take the foot off the gas.

    Colorado State at Alabama (-39.5)
Arkansas at Rutgers (-1.5) - Top Pick
Auburn at LSU (-16.5) - LSU wins but won't beat the spread
Tennessee at Florida (-16.5) - Before the Oregon game, I'd have taken the points
    North Texas at Georgia (-32.5)
    Troy at Mississippi State (-14.5)
    Missouri (-2.5) at Indiana
    SMU at Texas A&M (-28.5)
Vanderbilt (-31.5) at UMass - UMass is bad but that's a lot of points for Vandy to score on the road.
    Arizona State at Stanford (-7.5)
