For the games that Wilbekin is out for some games, Carter & Walker are unknowns for the season, so who is on the floor?

Core 8 players are easy to name, but who else can play the 1 when Hill sits? Could Dillon run the point? Will Billy Jr see time till Scottie is back?

    1- Hill & ???
    2- Frazier & Graham
    3- Prather & DFS
    4- WY & DFS
    5- Young & Harris

Interesting. You have noted something that's gone under the radar, which is that without Wilbekin and Carter, we are very thin at point.

And without Walker, UF is very thin in the front court too. Basically three guys must play starter minutes though Prather has shown he can play the 4 some.

    That's my guess.

Yes, that is the exact question I raised in the Carter thread, but at this stage I don't even know if Wilbekin misses any games, let alone how many they would be. To my knowledge there has been no definite announcement on the nature of his suspension other than that he is was suspended for the summer.

To the larger topic of the thread, I actually think the frontcourt rotation is more workable without Walker than with him. Harris has enough of a jumper that he can play next to either Young or Yeguete, while Finney-Smith, Prather, and DeVon Walker can all give you minutes at either the three or the four. When Walker gets to school, he is so good that you have to find a spot for him, but it will mean significantly less minutes for Harris and one of Finney-Smith or Frazier.

Is Billy Jr a chip off the old block?

I think pretty much, however, the game has changed substantially since Billy D played.

I don't think we can count on Scottie being back for the beginning of the season.

I really think with there is a chance that Devon Walker is redshirted with Prather a SR and DFS taking the rest of the SF time.

I also think maturity plays into Billy Jr, as he is older 4th year JR I believe, so he should be able to be effective. Could Dillon play the 1? He is a good athlete, but I don't know about his ball security.
