I think it is HUGE that we got through the first 10 rounds and only lost 3 incoming players. Not a lot of money given in rounds 11-40, so I would think that most of the remaining committed players would want to come to school and try and improve their draft stock for the future.

Sting, now that Puk and Morales havent been chosen through the tenth round what is your view of them getting to Gainesville?

Should we worry about Ratliff signing?

Sitting out transfer year. One story said he's a top hitter/outfielder which we need and that a year of proving himself at UF would greatly enhance his value.

Ratliff is gone. He won't play a game in the orange and blue. Good luck to him.

gators4life is correct- Ratliff has been gone from the UF program for a while, and won't be back.

Morales will be in Gainesville. Puk should be also... he could always be drafted late and sign for way over slot but with the new MLB rules, it is way more difficult and expensive for clubs to do that.

The only other worry is a kid could always decide to go the JUCO route and be eligible for the draft again next year. It doesn't happen often, especially with a kid signed to a top DI program like UF, and I wouldn't expect it with either of these kids either.

Again, after 15 rounds or so, things could not have worked out a whole lot better for UF.

I was worried about Mags. I know he was looking to make the jump. Let's see how this works out. We'll be fine on Whitson, and Powers. But there are some other concerns outside of the draft that leaves us kind of thin. Good thing we've got a good chunk of this class coming to campus.

Again, gators4life is correct. I would be surprised to see Mags back in Gainesville although he was drafted several rounds lower than he probably expected.

Keep in mind, Magliozzi is an older SOPH and was actually draft eligible last season after his FR year. Being he has leverage again next year, Mags could be back but we'll have to wait and see.

I would love to see Mags come back and improve on that, because I think he can by a good amount. I still think he leaves though. But besides mags, gibson, and crawford, we should be good. Kish I will wait and see with him draft or not.

Cody Dent not a typo drafted in the #676 overall last pick of the 22nd round to the Nationals. Well not sure how long that will last, but congrats to Cody.

Just saw a kid I used to play through little leagues, and a year in High School get drafted. Would dominate that kid every time I faced him when he was pitching. My lord I should have put more into baseball, if he got drafted.

Brett Morales selected in the 24th round by the Reds with the 735th pick. I would imagine he would come to school.

A lot of the other guys who were considering tough signs have gone now including Kyle Serrano and Eustis' Chris Okey, but Puk is still on the board. Good news for the Gators.
