I passed my driving test (in 1976) in Britain in something like this:
It was a 1957 Ford Consul. It was heavy as hell and with a 1.7L 4 cyl engine I think I only ever got it up to 55mph going downhill. Mine didn't look anywhere as nice as the one in the photo. It was a huge car by British standards. Paid about $60 for it back then.
Yep... you can see the evolution from the bicycle to the full fledged motorcycle in that model.
