Funny how the Obama loving types can't really explain in some threads why prices are going up and negative consequences are already reaching the American people, but then in threads like this they know everything there is to know about Obamacare and exactly how and what it's going to do in the future.

Could it be that none of us know what the hell we're headed for...and that includes Obama, Pelosi, Reid, etc?

Fact is Obama-scam is far more expensive that the old system

Fact Obama-scam will not let you keep your doctor, not everyone. Which means only government workers can keep their doctors if any at all is allow to.

Fact's about Obama-scam are still being re-written, so no one really knows what in it even today.

Fact is that Obama-scam is going to ration health-care for the elderly.

Fact is that Obama-scam steals money from medicare to fund it.

    I'll edit in more later.

    Which ones?

    1. If you like your doc or insurance you have now, you can keep it?

    2. Average family coverage will go down $2500 annually?

Those are the ones I've seen discussed the most. Are either true?

The lies from the left are absolutely incredible. They imitate their beloved "president" like the blind lemmings they are.

The primary cause of the insurance premium rate hikes seems to be the mandate to cover high-risk consumers, such as Americans with pre-existing conditions. However, insurance companies can no longer raise rates just to increase profits under the ACA, and companies have to justify their rate increases in each state. States with weak regulations and over site, like Florida, you can expect rate increases to jump considerably.

One simple question: What program - not the military - have we adopted in the past that is better nationalized instead of in the hands of the private sector? I won't say that Obamacare is going to be an unmitigated disaster but history says that it isn't going to end well. Remember, we aren't Sweden and we play by MUCH different rules.

Big Healthcare had done nothing to mitigate ever rising prices before the government stepped in. Their rate of premium increase was not sustainable unless something changed.

I won't argue that the growth in healthcare costs is bad, just a simple, why any optimism that Obamacare is going to be better? Where does the optimism come from?

BTW, the unsustainable reasoning is EXACTLY what us conservative types have been saying about the Federal debt. But that is a different thread.

Why is health insurance different than any other insurance? If firms are allowed to sell across state lines (with the requirement that they cover pre-existing conditions), competition will keep rates in check and insurors will still figure out how to make money. And if it is too expensive, people will drop coverage. So there is an incentive for companies to have a "range" of policies with multiple options to give consumers and businesses a choice.

With ACA, insurors are told what must be in their plans so minimum plans under ACA are not necessarily what all consumers want or need and those requirements raise the cost.

It is not an easy solution and best left to the states to serve as "best practice" laboratories with perhaps 'seed capital' from DC. ACA was an over reach and is a train wreck. So do we blow up the train before it gets into the downtown population center and does more damage or do we watch the train wreck?

The healthcos have a corp for each state. Blue Cross of Mass, Fla, etc. They don't want to sell interstate and mix the unhealthy pools with the healthy ones.

I hear nowadays parents don't tell their kids to be doctors and lawyers anymore. They tell their kids to grow up and be community organizers.

You know, another thread on here talked about how all you guys run away when we ask for real world examples, like a W2, your personal insurance premium, etc., yet you love to quote articles as if you're writing it down straight from the burning bush. Glad to see you remain true to form.
