That may be so but unless you have been living under a rock or living in denial I would say he is on point.

because liberals were behind slavery and segregation and conservatives opposed it?

    Key quote in these points

" If there is one general characteristic of white liberals, it’s their condescending and demeaning attitude toward blacks." The soft bigotry of low expectations that liberals bring to the table encourages mediocrity, undercuts excellence and generally helps to hold minorities in America back."

What does making these type of lists and generalizations say about the condescending and demeaning attitude of the conservative media toward white liberals? And perhaps more damningly, their readers. :)

Have no idea. The guy who was quoted was Walter Williams...a black man. Maybe he is tired of being "pandered" to.

Tired of being pandered to by white liberals, but apparently not tired of pandering to conservative whites.

My only comment is Jiminy Christmas in a chickenbasket, what a tired subject this is.

I kind of think it is refreshing to be pandered to. Let the other guy worry about political correctness. I'm sick of it. And I would say that Williams is a black man who can think for himself. And he's done pretty well for himself, don't you think?

Thus ignoring the most condescending attitude possible - that blacks are so stupid they vote against their own interests every election by close to 95%-5%.

There were different definitions in history. Those "conservatives" you speak of (Strom Thurmond, Lester Maddox, et al.) were segregationists, but they were also big government types in the grande Lyndon Johnson tradition.

Robert K. Byrd is another example, as was Albert Gore, Sr. J. William Fulbright was hardly a racial pioneer, and all are considered great Democrats...

Row, many blacks are paraded onto buses by their ministers who have received "campaign funds" or "walking around money" and rolled down to the precinct and told who they are voting for. Now how do you go against Reverend Jones who is going to buy you dinner once you finish?

    Think I'm exaggerating?

In 2000 Bush vs Gore over 2500 Jacksonville votes were tossed at several precincts on the northside because of "over" votes. They were bussed in and told to vote for Gore and Brown (meaning Corine "gogata" Brown). Well they did...on page one they voted for Gore. And on page 2 they voted for Brown...that would be Harry Browne (Libertarian candidate for President).

So don't try selling me that 95% of blacks vote for their self interest. How is it working out for them with Obama as POTUS. Black youth at 55% unemployment. Black unemployment at 14%. Hopefully we can begin to convince some blacks to wake up and start thinking for themselves. Their democratic "masters" are keeping them in slavery on the Guvmint Plantation.

    Wg... I have to ask...

We're you giving us all an example of what was quoted? If it was unintentional, it sure was ironic...

Who here would care to deny that the race card is a standard tool in the Democrat agitprop tool box?
