Gators Hope Driskel Can Wake Up Offense
>> Florida QB Jeff Driskel Is Ready To Play. <<
Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit picked FSU.
Just got off work, and now I'm getting nervous. Hopefully when I wake up at 5pm today we're up by two touchdowns or something crazy.
This will help us more than they know!
Tired of all the jabbering....ready for some Gator "D"!
It's the first time this game has been relevant on a national scale in many years. More importantly, it's the first time in 3 long years WE have been relevant at this time of year on a national scale! I don't care about how pretty we look, I don't care about how many yards we get and I don't care about all these "stats".....JUST WIN THE GAME!!!!
Howard is an FSU homer (notwithstanding his Michigan roots) and he's been jockeying for Manuel for two years.

If there's an "expert" in the country that has picked UF I haven't seen it. And can we blame them? One team has the #1 defense in the country, the other has the #104 (out of 120) offense. If we weren't Gators which team would we pick?
My hope is that Jeff is at least 90%, that he can last the whole game (considering that the Semiholes will be trying their best to break his ankle), and that a return to health with some other key players will make the offense more like what we saw in the first four games rather than the last four. If not then I don't see how we can win. The offense has to score at least a few points no matter how good our defense is.
We need excessive TOP and sustained drives that score touchdowns. If we get a shortfield score every now and then, well, that's cherries on top.
We need to protect against the sidelines fade and the dink / dunk over the middle stuff, and we'll be OK.
Just saw Jimbo Fisher interviewed on Gameday. He looked like he overdid the spray tan. GTL!
This is a sham.
Easy to have that when you play in the ACC
Hahaha did anyone else notice that gumbo jumbo has joined the anti-sideburn club........
All that Florida has to do is crush reFSU and we can validate our assertions that the FSU #1 defense is a sham, and that their easy schedule made the offense look good. If the Gators drop a turd like they did against UGA, then I know that I have to go to work Monday morning eating crow. (My commander is an FSU grad. He will be looking for all his Gator officers as they report to work in the morning. If the Gators win, we get to Gator chomp him. If the Gators lose, he gets to tomahawk chop us and gloat.)
Couldn't sleep last night. Glad this game is almost here!
It will be very interesting to see what the UF gameplan is on offense. Does WM play to win this with his style of ball in a 13-10 type game? Or does UF surprise many and play more aggressive on offense and open it up some? Logic tells me it will be the former but just maybe they have been laying in the weeds a bit the last two weeks.
This is a huge $$ game for UF, win and they get a BCS bowl game......and maybe more!
I know I will catch heck for this, but I don't think we will win. Driskel is hurting, I feel lime we are still coming together as a team. I really love this season because I have been pleasantly surprised with the results.
all of the so called experts pick Fsu ... we just need to win ... and earn respect
Go Gators !!
I hate saying this, but I really don't see us winning today. We've done nothing to show me that we can put up points on a defense of their caliber (Even though we're poking fun of their #1 ranking, you've got to admit, they're pretty good). Unless our defense/ST can score a touchdown or two, I'm not very confident, our defense should keep it close though, a la the Georgia game. I hope I'm very, very wrong.
FSU 13 - UF 9
Win, and we are in the championship with a Notre Dame Loss, simple as that.
Sadly, I think we have a better chance of winning than USC does against Notre Dame.
But a win would be kinda nice anyways:crazy:
