Well you know it had to happen sooner or later as $100 Million of our tax dollars are flowing to Detroit. Cant wit to see when the next batch and how much will go there

"ETROIT – The Obama administration has found $100 million to send to struggling Detroit, despite recurring claims that the government cannot afford to make any more spending cuts.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi claimed just last weekend that "there's no more cuts to make." Pelosi made the comments in response to Republicans demanding additional cuts in exchange for raising the debt ceiling.

"The cupboard is bare," she told CNN.

    Apparently not completely bare.

Pelosi is next to Barry the biggest liar in the District of Criminals.

Once again tax payers have to bail out the mess made by democratic liberal policies. Problem is there is no one to bail out the Federal Government.

Naturally, the majority of the funds will go to unions. Hiring police officers, firemen...you know...stimulus. And of course the question then becomes, who pays the tab after year 1?

Disgusting, not only what liberalism has done to Detroit, but the deceitful and venal nature of this administration that howls over any cut to anything -- over any reduced increases, really -- but can set $100 million of our money on fire enabling Detroit.

Rather than spend money on firemen, we should look at moving all the residents out in the severely blighted areas and burn the place down. Starting over would be cheaper. Return it to farmland other than the downtown business district.

What a waste, not only the $100 million, but what they will do with it. I would wager a significant amount of money it will go to the unions and when it runs out they will want more.

If they would take the money and demolish all of the abandoned buildings and houses like downeast said. It would support existing home prices, and they could then sell the land and keep the process going. Shrink the size of the city and reduce some of their costs.

It's not a bailout, it's for city maintenance- near term. It won't last long, and perhaps they get more for same eventually, but it's not a debt bailout. However, IF Washington could get away with giving them more I'm sure they would

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we bail out GM so they would continue to pay their taxes and keep Detroit afloat? Did GM forget to mail in a check?

I wonder when all the cities in California will put their hand out. They're broke, too. They need their Obamabucks.

Our community extortionists will give them all the money they need. How he gets the money to give them, and what agency/fund it comes from, is a mystery to me.
