Typical UK flop there. Glad it was not called. They flop more than Duke.

Cal's quotes are absurd! Can you imagine in anyway Billy D. saying that? Me neither. Hello, you choose to recruit that way!

In terms of respect within the coaching fraternity, there really isn't a comparison between the two. Calipari is very good coach and always has been, but he is essentially the Lane Kiffin of college hoops coaches in terms of respect for his opponents and coaching peers.

Calipari whining about this game when the basis of his whine comes from his one-and-done program setup.

First half belongs to the Spartans. Had they not blown some created turnovers it would have been worse for the Wildcats.

    44-32 MSU at the half

Don't know about you guys, but doesn't it seem like MSU should be up more than 12? Izzo is doing what I suggested any coach should do right now - make UK settle for jumpers. I expected that and, at this point, don't know what to expect from those jumpers. What I didn't expect was how good MSU would be at stripping the ball. They made Randle look like a rookie out there - taking advantage of those small hands he's got.

I'm all for this game being a learning experience. I'm just concerned it could become demoralizing. Can't have that.

Hopefully one of the SEC schools playing today will win (hoping for an "surprise" UF win). LSU and SC looked good from what I saw (playing UMass and Baylor respectively) but came up short in their games. If they were playing their games at home, I think they could have each gotten a victory. Now Vandy is in a tight game with Georgia State and that's a home game for Vandy. Tennessee is playing at Xavier later and UF has yet to play Wisconsin. UK can still get back in this game so they're not out of it yet either. Anyway, it's now up to Vandy, UF, UK, and Tennessee to get a win (or wins) for the SEC today (come on SEC East, represent!).

Definitely believe the Spartans should have had a bigger lead. They wasted several opportunities.

Damn, right off the bat the season starts and they put two SEC matchups on overlapping time slots.

Two? What about three. MSU vs UK, UF vs UW, and UT vs Xavier. Though if you are referring just to ESPN networks, then yeah, just two ;-)

I was thinking about the ESPN networks but you have a good point. Over 6 minutes to go in the VCU/Virginia game so I guess our game won't start until after theirs is over.
