So she didn't criticize his faith, she made fun of the idea that Pence thinks Jesus speaks to him.
Those who sow hate don't have much standing to condemn others for that same act.
Bill, what do you disagree with about what I said?
It was not making fun of that idea - it was saying it was mental illness- huge difference and you know it
It is very small. Maybe 5 -10?
So to take actions or heed the advice of a non corporal voice in your head. What would you call that?
You are kidding right? Every Christian believes that God speaks to them in some way. Not audibly, but in many other ways. Saying someone is crazy for believing that is the epitome of criticizing our faith.
Dan, I enjoy these talks with you and you are surely a good guy, but why you cant just whistle past these threads is beyond me. You can't help but be insulting. I honestly don't understand why you don't just skip these threads like you claim to want to do.
There is an old saying: if you talk to god, that is praying; if God talks back, that is schizophrenia.
Several mentions of people posting on this forum have appeared on this thread, yet you only object when you fear it may point your direction?
No, I've no intention to "mitigate the hate sewed [sic] by the view." My posts on this thread were made to point out the self delusional hypocrisy of those who think what was said on "The View" was out of "the left's playbook." Both sides pull this stunt.
Are you okay? is anybody home in there? Now you want to insult me and read into something that is bullshit on your part- obviously that apology you sent me was bullshit as well
I admit to being conflicted about Pence. I was disappointed he accepted the VP slot because the faith he confesses runs counter to what he now represents. But in the larger scheme, some good will come of his position, I think. I hope.
Do you remember the folk tale about the farmer, his son, a horse, a broken leg and the Czar's army I posted a while back? The point being, something good can come from something bad. Things are not always as they seem.
Yeah, 5 or 6 are deliberately antagonistic in my estimation. A larger number make ugly 'jokes' and insults on a lesser scale of offense.
She would have been fired by now if Pence was Muslim with the same words.
Where have I "insulted" you?
Don't have an argument? Have you tried using: Imagine if?
Why do you look for the worst?
You once suggested I had issues and should consider introspection. Oh that's not insulting.
I wonder about your estimation?
Pence is well respected by most who know him yet you see and beleive the ugly.
Trump is not polished. He's a rough New Yorker but he is doing what he said he was going to do. He is what he is.
Have you ever been in a Fire House, Locker Room, Barracks, Flight Line...? These have some awesome people that could not live up to your "play nice" standards.
Maybe it's a gender thing? My middle school was rougher than this crowd.
And if I offended you I am sorry because you have offended me in the past
I mean, who knows what her employers would think in such a hypothetical? If you can point out a circumstance where her producers canned someone for making fun of Islam, then you'd be right to point out hypocrisy, but until that happens, you're really just speculating.
What isn't speculation is that the liberals around here are generally pretty accepting of jokes aimed at liberals and liberal demographics. Meanwhile, the cons constantly complain about "snowflakes" and "PC" ruining society, but at the same time to go into meltdown mode any time someone makes fun of conservatives or anything vaguely associated with conservatives. That's hypocrisy.
I fail to see how Behar's show is any different from FNC opinion shows. Except for which way the opinions are biased. It's all the same shit.
