jjh and Mama two really good things today
my 9 year old writing student won a contest sponsored by the Bucs out of all the schools in Hillsborough County~ there were just 3 winners. Made this teacher's day.
then after school, my younger peers elected me the TEACHER OF THE YEAR. So honored for I truly have adopted half the staff, for they are my daughter's age~ I was worried about losing the touch.

Good morning Gators, hard to believe today is the last home game of the 2012 football season! Hope they send the seniors out with a good win over the J State Gamecocks. They have been through a rocky ride in the Gator career.

Feel out of control here~ so many things happening at once on the calendar, with work and at home~ I do better with a job, for I can control 'most' in my classroom and feel productive. This is the kind of week where you feel like you have 5 pots boiling over on a 4 burner stove! Starting it slow with coffee and praying that stuff kicks in and gets me knocking some things off this long long list.
Love the comment above about a bipolar fan base..... only Number One seems to please 'most' anymore.

Good Morning Gators, nice weekend, Football, Basketball & Volleyball wins for the Orange & Blue. FSU week, I miss SOS & his rapier wit this week more than most. Coach will have the kids ready to play, they have demonstrated that Road games don't upset them so a win in Talli may be our Thanksgiving gift a day or 2 late- Go Gators!

V, I have been AWOL from Early Risers for a few days, just busy. Congrats on your nine year old's wonderful accomplishment. Congrats as well for the designation, TEACHER of The Year. I am not at all surprised. Education of these young minds is very near and dear to your heart, this is very evident from your posts about teaching. We need more teachers like you, I am sure there are many out there. It takes a special person, like you, to mold these young minds and inspire them to learn, and to follow their dreams. You are my mentor on the Pub, that's for sure, although there must be times when you read a post and say," what was she thinking?" Just bask in this honor V. You deserve it.
