Default Another reason to hate the Sentinel.....

I know how much some of you love to bash this fish wrap, so I'd thought I'd give you more fuel. Seems they are running a "Best Florida College Football Bracket"... 64 players from various Florida colleges seeded 1-64. Muershel (sp?) and Bianci were chief committee members. Now I hate these things to begin with, I think they are stupid beyond belief. Here are some highlights...

Florida entries include - Tebow (1 seed), Wuerffel (2 seed), Spurrier (2 seed), F. Taylor (3 seed), Youngblood (4 seed), E. Smith (5 seed), Rhett (5 seed), Kearse (7 seed), Harvin (9 seed), Crowder (9 seed (!!), Hilliard (10 seed), Collinsworth (11 seed), Alvarez (11 seed) Van Sickle (12 seed), A. Brown (12 seed), Gaffney (13 seed), L. Brown (13 seed), Spikes (14 seed).

Other 1 seeds are D. Sanders, W. Sapp and C. Ward......

Yes, the sentinel actually forgot to include Wilbur Marshall in this thing..... LMFAO!!!

Alex Brown, Channing Crowder and Brandon Spikes there but who is EASILY one of the top 2 defensive players in UF history and a National Collegiate Defensive POY is not..... good job guys, you sure do know your football.

These lists are hard to make, but I can definitely blow holes in that list.

No Wes Chandler? Maybe not the stats because of our offense at the time, but he's still the best receiver/athlete we've ever had... I'd say right along with Percy.

Kearse was a freak athlete, but the third best LB on his own team (Peterson and Rutledge).

And of course, there's Wilber who has to top any LB list and one of the best all time players at UF at any position.

Slantinel is a fish wrap for sure.

Yeah, I meant to mention Chandler as well.... their one defense for that omission is that they stated that only college achievements were looked at..... as we all know he played reciever in a wish bone offense. Yes, he certainly should still be there, one would think. Oh, and you are spot on about Kearse, while a freak he was 3rd best LB on the team, partly due to him playing a little out of position.

Percy Harvin as a 9-seed while Fred Taylor is a 3-seed is laughable.
And just dismissing Wilber Marshall altogether is totally inexcusable.

Hell, misspelling Wilber Marshall's name is also punishable under Gator law.

Well played, sir... I always confuse the u with the e. Have a friend that spells it that way. Maybe it will sink in this time.
