knights, you pretty much made my point. I get that there are plenty of places to be had on the cheap. I also remember when the entire area was orange groves and 27 was just for trucks. Believe me, I know the area very well. Just wouldn't want to live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by many empty houses, many with foreign owners and a fake British Pub for entertainment. It went from nothing to overbuilt in 10 years...ignoring local water levels so much that people can't get water pressure often throughout the year.

Pass. Another example of the worst of Florida over-development in the middle of nowhere.

LOL I've been to that pub a couple times when I was in the field. Beef O'Brady's was better. The only advantate for a Disney employee is commute time, access to Tampa, and lots of fellow Disney employees as neighbors.

Winter Garden is ten miles from the employee entrace on the north side of Disney. You can get to Disney from there by back road or toll road. The downtown is small but has a lot of events and a bike trail. Lots of parks also. It has grown from about 17,000 to about 35,000 in the last two years.

Oakland, Clermont, Windermere and that general area is much safer than Kissimmee and just as close to Disney.

There is even a safe outdoor mall in the area plus there are ton of of places between Disney and WG to rent.
