An Espn expert that has us getting to Atlanta. Wow! I guess he did not get the memo to completely ignore the SEC and heap mounds of praise on the Big 10. Lunardi is clearly not a team player.

He's no expert, but ESPN's Colin Cowherd has us in the Final Four as well.

Not worth a new thread, but Joe Scarborough of "Morning Joe" just picked the Florida Gators to win the NCAA Tournament. He said that we will play Ohio State in Atlanta just like 6 years ago, and that we would be the team cutting down the nets after 6 straight wins. Of course he was a congressmen from Florida in a district near the Alabama border. I believe he called it the "Redneck Riviera". He is a pretty bright guy though, and just jumped up a few spots because of his support for us. Hey I admit the fact that I base how much I like commentators/experts/sport's analyst based on how much support they throw towards the Orange and Blue. There actual skill and expertise means nothing to me! GO GATORS

Joe went to Alabama undergrad, then on to UF for law school. We're his second favorite team behind the Tide.

I hope his college basketball analysis is as good as his political analysis.

Stop, you guys are killing the "ESPN hates us!" / "ESPN hates the SEC" narrative.
(I'm joking, of course. ESPN could change their name to the Gators Rule Network or Go SEC Network and some people would still find a way to be a victim).

This team can lose in the first weekend, or make it to the championship game. Not much will surprise me. Can't wait to find out though!!!

It's really not an off-the-wall pick. Some of the simulators have us going to the Final 4 and if we do, that means we've got our game back. With our game, we can beat anyone.

Yup we can lose to or beat anyone in the tourney this year.
I just have 0 confidence we can win a close game, because our team hasn't given us any reason to believe they can. And I'm pretty sure we'll have a close game before the final 4.
Hope they prove me wrong though! That would be lovely.

i don't understand all the love. its like no one has watched us play over the past 2 months. i think it has more to do with the draw than anything else.

I think that it's just a mentality that people have when they make picks. No one (hardly) is going to pick all #1 seeds to be in the FF because it just never happens. You usually get FF seeds like:
1,1,1,3
1,1,2,4
1,1,3,7
UF seems to be the sexiest #3 (perhaps non#1) seed in the tourney, hence all of the love.

The guy is a jerk! He knows nothing about bb. I just do not understand him saying we will make it to the championship game. Everyone that knows anything about bb knows we will win it, not just get there. I kid I kid. To be honest, I would be shocked if we made it to the championship game. However, you never know what Coach D has up his sleave.

I had the Gators losing in the Championship Game in the Early Prediction thread. Feel free to give me "love" or "hate". I don't care. All I can say is that I was MONTHS ahead of Lunardi!
