Has rivals not rated everyone yet? How is a 6'4 340 pound lineman not even a 3 star? I don't know it doesn't matter, but you would think being that size he would be ranked somewhat.
they have not rated everybody yet this kid needs to lose weight
"If LSU offered, that wouldn't change my mind," Paul said. "My father taught me to be a man of my word and to stick to my word and that's what I'm going to do. I gave Florida my word and that's where I'm going to go."
God bless the young man. The one thing that can set me off is when I see "decommit". There is no such word. Commit means you give your word and you honor it. And Joseph Paul has learned well from his father.

To be honest I've seen him listed at both positions in various places.
We'll let the coaches decide.

"Paul is a big, nasty, mauling offensive lineman. He lines up at tackle in high school, but will need to slide inside to guard at the next level. He has good height and carries a great deal of bulk on his frame with a thick, massive build."

Sounds a lot like LSU and Bama OL we've run up against recently.

"From a rivals article. Did he see one of our practices?
"I didn't really get to see the whole campus as much as I would have liked to, but I really liked what I did see," said Paul. "The team's practice was really eye opening though because of how hard they go the whole time and how they don't fool around out there."
While taking in Saturday's first full pads practice of the spring, Paul had a chance to watch UF offensive line Coach Tim Davis in action.
"What I took from watching him was that he doesn't fool around and he has the guys get after it. I really liked that," said Paul of Davis. "I want a coach that wants me to work harder. Coach Davis talked with me a little bit out there about what the drills was they were running and why they were running it."
A former poster in this forum on another site had this to say about Joseph Paul...
"I have a feeling UF accepted his commitment subject to certain stipulations. UF has done this before, specifically with Tre Bell, who was told he could commit with the understanding he had to come down in the summer and compete at our big summer camp. With Paul, I would imagine he's going to need to lose weight to keep a spot. If he's still 340+ in 6-7 months, I'd start to wonder if a "mutual decision" occurs to partways.
Dude absolutely needs to transform his body...for whoever he's going to play for."
While I dont think we will get him remember Paul is friends and teammates with the best high school running back since Adrian Peterson Leonard Fournette
What a joke of a comment. Best highschool RB since AP? I respect your input on a lot of things GATORAZ, but you're flaming here. Trent Rich, CJ, Lattimore, Kelvin Taylor, Derrick Henry. There are lots who have been called that.

From what I've seen of LF, I actually agree with AZ.

He is a better high school running back than all the people you have listed IMO. He was a better RB than Taylor and Henry last year as a high school jr.

This sounds right. He needs to drop AT LEAST 20 or 30 pounds. Dillman will do the rest.
I'm not sure that our staff wants him to lose that much weight, as much as they just want him to lose fat and gain muscle. Looking at our OL class last cycle, Muschamp seems to want some 330-340 behemoths on the line, with short stocky RBs running behind them. And I kinda like that idea. As a LB, it's really difficult finding those RBs in traffic.

I know I'm not the only one who doesn't care if our interior is 295 pounds or 330 pounds as long as they can blow guys off the ball when we run and can keep JD upright when we throw. Attitude and smarts will get you farther as an OL than maybe any position in any other sport. That being said, I love seeing some hosses lining up at G.

He needs to drop about 60 or 70 pounds and then build back up.
