I think that was Tebow's only penalty; ever. Classic we do our own chomp and get penalized. It was just a response to smack talk, right?

It is bizarre to say the least. You would think it is a cut and dry case of taunting, but I am struggling to think of anyone being penalized for doing it, besides our own players.

The Auburn kicker really irritated me along with that Ole Miss special ed kid the other night but the one that really stings for me is the SECCG when Tebow started crying and on the other sideline the Bama players mocked the Gator chomp while lassoing the Gator mouth shut and saying it was over. I still tear up on this one and won't ever forget it. There's no other team I want to feel our pain more then Alabama. That one still hurts. It's real tough to see this youtube.

Agreed. I thought the whole point of the taunting rule was that players cannot do something to mock his opponent or fans, i.e., any player playing UF who does the chomp at our players or fans should be flagged or "T'd" but we've all seen that UF players who do the chomp for our fans or teammates will always be flagged/t'd up but opposing players do it with impunity.

We should just make a formal push to call it both ways...ur jackass players wants to taunt then fine we don't get flagged either when we stand over your QB and do the chomp

Be like flagging Aaron Rodgers for champ belt celebration but not flagging opposing players for doing it
